ati never made a 440 lx motherboard, it was intel's pentium 2 chipset prior to the release of the 440bx. wich was one of the best chipsets in history.

 

440lx was desinged for slot one processors. whereas the 486 was a socket 7 or 5 cant remeber wich one. More likely socket 5

 

if i'm wrong correct me.

bought that last week decided that winxp 64 sucked ass and it was a major waste of money so i went with the G5

 

dual 2.5 ghz

1.5 gigs ram

160gb hd

nvidia 6800ultra

did i mention its liquid cooled?

 

just picked it up today

 

 

im new to mac but so far im absoultly in love with it.

hope you don't like gaming too much, it's still pretty much none existent on the mac, compared to the pc anyway, hope that works out for you!
