Mitch
Looks like we're a bunch of old guys here Lowest I saw was .88 cents. Now its nothing to put $50 in the tank and back then I was making not much more than that weekly. Minimum wage was $3.
Guest HyperBurn
Yeah, but why put 50 bucks in when we could grab a flux capacitor, hit 88.8, go back in time, fill up for 13 bucks, and come back with a full tank and burn it all up!!! Wow, just came back to reality. I'm still gonna spend 40-50 to fill up... DAMNIT!!!
Casper
I started driving in 1997. I was paying around $0.99/gal. When I graduated high school in 1999, I was still paying around $0.99/gal. WTF!?

Guest HyperBurn
I can see this topic coming up when we're 80. "Back in my day, gas was only 99 cents." but by the time we're 80 we'll be running on some weird mixture they invented from plants.

copperhead
It was under $1 a gallon for my first few years of driving. I was still burning through nearly $50/week in gas back in my first car at those prices.
ImUrOBGYN
Shit. I forget what gas cost exactly in 1985:o But it's almost triple. Scott peace Same for me. Granted, I was only 12 in '85 but I didn't live in a city and had my own car. POS of course... but mine, dammit. It is at least triple now. Science Abuse
premium was $1.16. It took a century for gas to go up the first dollar, it's rising a dollar a year, now.
McGraw
suspected to be over $4 a gallon this summer for unleaded... When I got me first 240sx and started driving it was no biggy to fill up for around $10. now I actually budget gas into my weekly spending. It sucks. And the monte carlo NEVER moves, and very rarely even gets started anymore. I can't afford it.
