HAOLE
I owned one of these for years and always loved the cruising wagons. I found one for sale down in Ga. and I am thinking buying it. I would eliminate the porthole, 2.3 turbo from a T-Bird with a 5 speed. The stock rear end should be fine with the engine. If the body is straight enough black would be the color, with tinted windows. Can anyone photoshop this in black, no port hole and those rims? http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1845/161/29610080019_large.jpg?534012-328 Plus this http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/1913/1561/4780780384_large.jpg And these http://www.discounttire.com/product/wheels/momrev.s.ang.jpg

ImUrOBGYN
I think that would be sweet and I see how the no porthole thing would look cool, too. Especially, all in black. However, I really feel the porthole adds to the character of the car. Just paint the car black and tint the shit out of the porthole. Or just paint it to look like the love boat. Aaron
That would look good, however a different set of wheels is needed. Those are too ricer, F&F etc. Good luck

The porthole was a factory option. The wagon I had came with a porthole, I never liked it much and always wanted to get rid of it.

Those are too ricer, F&F etc. Good luck I was having a hard time with that. To go a little ricer or put some weld type wheels on it, I am not sure. http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/555-sport_lite_star.jpg
SpaceGhost
Not my cup pf tea but it would be a rare ride for sure. Don't see too many of those.
Aaron
I think you could find a happy medium with some more looking around. I fell like that car is an inbetweener, and so should the wheels. Did that make sense?
SpaceGhost
Foose wheels, and lowered.
HAOLE
Foose wheels, and lowered. :grin2: Wheels would be worth more than the car.... I could show my east side columbus roots.

Rally Pat
Good luck, if you go through with it. The 2.3 is a great, stout motor that can have an incredible amount of power extracted from it for a handful of loose change. TurboFord.net is my favorite resource. zeitgeist57
Sorry, but definitely one of the ugliest cars ever. I would pick a Vega or Gremlin/Pacer over the Pinto. Front end, door gaps, window frame, body lines....ugh!!! :thumbdown
Nitrousbird
If going old-school, how about something a lot less lame.
HAOLE
If going old-school, how about something a lot less lame. The point is not to have a "cool" car. If I wanted that I would get another Supra.
SPLN SUX
If I was going to do something... a little off the beatin track... Id do like a early 80's Caprice Classic. I always did find them kinda cool looking. I think the rectangle lights and the egg crate grill does it for me. Also, a 73 Catalina would be sweet too... just because its a big fuckin hunk of steel... a nice BBC with a blower would certianly turn a few heads in a monster like that.
