timmy43016
I know your pain. I have had to put down a few great friends. Never easy. Just remember that she didnt know anything but the good times and you should do the same. Sorry for the loss. I volunteer at the Franklin County Animal Shelter and they have some great animals down there that reaaly need a good home. Should you decide to get another, think about adoption. I know they will never replace Trixie as she was a one of a kind, but they are also one of a kind and are sure to create just as fond a memory. mrs.cos
Man, that stinks. Im sorry for your loss. My "kids" are close to that age and its getting harder and harder to not think of them as puppies anymore. I know this is corny- and that Men dont read poetry, but its a memorium to dogs, and i love it. I’m Still Here Friend, please don't mourn for me, I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day, And within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near, I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart, As long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight. I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach. I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around, And the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, And you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, You can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, And you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep, And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace! boosted98gst
Man that sucks so bad, I love my animals so much, in 04 we lost one that I had back when I was a little kid. I feel so bad because he was on his death bed and I was laying down with him so he could pass with someone next to him. I ended up brushing my teeth and when I came back he was gone. I had a flash back in time with all the good times as a kid, I cried so much , my dad took it real hard too he was real close.
Miller
Thanks for the kind words everyone. My brother took her in at 9:30 this morning. I didn't know, when I heard he had left I ran to my car to see I had a flat tire...Pumped it up and did 75-80 to the vets to find she had passed 10 minutes before I got there. It sucks so bad, I really feel shitty today.

TTQ B4U
Now I've got a tear going. Seriously, I still cry when I'm blue and happen to think of our beloved Jasmine and having lost her. This Christmas eve at 3pm is going to be a tough one for me. Get her cremated and keep her with you. Stay strong.
