My thinking is in line with Erik's...wouldn't you lower the arms onto the channel locks that most lifts have so you're not relying on hydraulic line pressure all of the time? Only one side has hydros and the other side id pulled up with cables that run under the bottom cross over plate. Would be a good starting point to make it better then it was. When I was at MAG I watched a guys 1 month old 7series fall off a lift.
