Rhett
The air force gives you ribbons for being good at taking tests? And doing well in the PT program, and staying out of trouble. Its Basic they fuck with ya for any reason. And the T.I.s pick the Honor Grads its a pretty cool accomplishment and a great way to start off a possible 20+ year commitment. AWW$HEEET
I was at Keesler AFB in 2005-06, you got it good. I was there for 3C0X1, which is Computer Communications. You will be 1 block from the beach, along with about 10 casinos. As for your job, yep you are a glorified sec. Learn how to make my coffee correctly, 2 scoops baby. NTHER91
Actually about 5 years after I went to basic (army), noobs were coming into our unit saying you can smoke, use your cell phone, etc.. When I went we had to stock up on phone cards and wait in line for an hour for a 3 minute conversation. I wanted to punch that kid in the face when he told me how lax it is anymore. Ask Adam how lax it is now
98fiveseven1647545503
http://www.military.com/military-fitness/air-force-fitness-requirements/air-force-basic-military-training-fitness-test air force standards http://www.military.com/military-fitness/air-force-fitness-requirements/air-force-basic-military-training-fitness-test looks like the air force is tougher to graduate fitness Air Force graduation min: 45 pushups 50 situps 11:57 1.5mile run army min:42 pushups 53 sit ups and 15:54 2 mile run they are evenly matched i beat both so its all good and there is no bicycle test anymore if you are injured and need an eval. 98fiveseven1647545503
I was in one of the stricktest squadrons with one of the most hardcore MTIs She never pulled "possitive 341s" because that would me we were just doing our job, we got 1 30 minute patio break and a few 20 minute phone calls for mothers day and cuz we busted our asses and made her look good Ive had fun through it just ready to get the classes started. MEPS pushed my depth perception through and i got DQ'd in my flight physical so i reclassed and the description for knowledge ops was better then it actually is but i plan on retraining into bioenvironmental engineering as soon as I can

Massie02GT
Dude...Keelser sucks. I was just there for 8 months for my tech school too. I lucked out and got stationed at Nellis out near Vegas though. Have fun there. Air Force is 8 1/2 weeks for basic. When I was there (July 09 - Sept 09) I got a total of 3 calls home, inculding the 1 20sec call when you first got there to tell someone you made it and give them your address. Adam
I just talked to a kid in AF basic and he was complaining because they kept the ac only at 80 and was hot in the barracks! I guess it is easier in the army because they kept it cool enough for the pipes not to freeze when I ran through in the winter, we never complained about it being too hot. As far as im concerned Keesler is awesome. WAYY better then Lackland, hot as shit but ohwell. Our dorms are "amazing". Except ive been in 3 different squadron dorms they keep moving the 3rd floor people. Thanks Jason like he said earlier its 8.5 weeks. I think the grad ceremonies looked pretty shit hot. when I saw the video my parents took. Atleast our marching got put to go use for other then disipline but whatever hopefully ill be home pretty quick and then go to my Perm duty station. Car should be getting finished by the time im home so it can travel with me and soon to be wifey
