ansonivan
Yes, yes. You were right, all of those rusty steel washers you've been saving really will come in handy. Please sell them to me at a low-low price so that I may build more weird washer-stack creations. Especially interested in washer sizes ranging between 3/4 and 1 1/2 outer diameter. Also open to trading beer for washers. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/125980646/original.jpg
IVRINGS
Why not just buy a few and use a steel pipe in the middle of the two of them? Have someone weld the pipe and washers together after you find the right hight.
ansonivan
Couple of reasons: - washers are the look I'm going for - a stack of washers is a whole lot heavier than a pipe spacer - weight is good. Also, I have three welders
wnaplay1647545503
Have you tried buying them in bulk from a supplier?
ansonivan
I would prefer used washers of widely differing sizes. I could acid wash new ones but would prefer beat up used ones. Probably will end up visiting some oldschool garages with junk piled in every corner.
