I hope you're just trying to put on a show. First you're calling Audi's glorified VW's because they are owned by VW, but then the same doesn't apply to their other brands? Yes, MY S4 shares the B5 chassis with a passat...who cares? The odometer display, for example, that's used in Lambos, R8's and I'm sure Bentley's too is the same that's in my B5, so by your intelligent theory they are all glorified Passats.

There is a difference between rebadging things, and using the same chassis. VW will never sell a rebadged VW as one of their upscale brands. They will take old Audi's and sell them as Skoda's, but stripped down and cheaper.

Oh and by the way, the new explorer shares a lot of things that they learned from when they owned Land Rover:

It's an ORIGINAL 1992 Audi S2 that's been imported from the UK to Canada. They only want $13K for it. I contemplated every possible way to get this thing but I just can't realistically do it right now. I'm guessing since it's a '92 it has the 6-speed with 227hp, and it kinda looks like it has the 1993 visual updates done to it.

I think this looks like a sweet ride. I'm not jumping into the brand war. I have very eclectic taste in cars. However, I'm surprised no one has busted on it for those terrible offsets. Holy crap. And then they put a narrow width tire on the rear rim to avoid rub. That is crackerjack.

It's just typical euro styling. The stretch and poke trend.

You're right, I haven't noticed that...it's pretty bad. Front looks ok.

Sure, the other one is good for that. That's right, I have two.

Now make sure you drag your ass to NTR on the 22nd so I can drag you around there first.

My point was that you have a purpose built drag car, and I have a glorified VW grocery getter, pointless for me to try and out do you at the drag strip, pointless for you to go in the twists with skinnies in the front. Best my car would be able to do at NTR would be high 11's.

Although, I think the grocery getter would hold it's own against the drag racer on the street.
