Sold the GTO, here's the new beauty

So, for a while now I've been wanting something a little more wild than the GTO. I'd gone between a number of ways to modify it and a number of other cars but in the end I decided I wanted to get one of my dream cars, an FD RX-7.

 

When I started looking for cars in my budget I decided I either wanted an LS1 powered car or as clean example of a stock one that I could find, so I found this, a beautiful 1993 model with absolutely everything on the car in perfect working order:

As you can see the car is an absolute beauty and this was all I was looking for in a stock/clean RX-7 in my budget. Literally every feature on the car works perfectly, nothing is missing, and everything is in great shape. That's right boys and girls. The previous owner ditched the rotary and installed a LS1 from a 2003 Corvette with the help of Hinson Supercars. The install is very very clean and everything is in tip top shape.

 

The car pulls like a raped ape, much much harder than anything I've owned before. I think this is the first car I've had that has a performance capability that so exceeds my skills, haha. I took the car to the shop for new plugs/wires, an oil change, and a baseline dyno

Car has basic bolt-ons and an LS6 intake, coilovers, polywhatever bushings, R compounds, etc etc. I'll be posting some better pics from the Rebel when I have some time in the next couple of days.

Thanks everybody, I was very happy to find one in such great condition considering it's a 20 year old car. I can't even describe how much fun it is to drive.

 

Welcome to the swap club, hopefully it has a TII rear diff if not start looking...

 

I'm not sure about the rear diff but I figure it won't be a big deal if I have to replace one. The car won't see the 1/4 mile strip very often at all, it's really just to hop in and have fun on nice days.

It's dented from who knows what. It's on the list of maintenance to be done to the car along with a brake upgrade and a few other small items.
