Sold the GTO, here's the new beauty

So, for a while now I've been wanting something a little more wild than the GTO. I'd gone between a number of ways to modify it and a number of other cars but in the end I decided I wanted to get one of my dream cars, an FD RX-7.

When I started looking for cars in my budget I decided I either wanted an LS1 powered car or as clean example of a stock one that I could find, so I found this, a beautiful 1993 model with absolutely everything on the car in perfect working order:

As you can see the car is an absolute beauty and this was all I was looking for in a stock/clean RX-7 in my budget. Literally every feature on the car works perfectly, nothing is missing, and everything is in great shape. But then I opened the hood.....

That's right boys and girls. :D The previous owner ditched the rotary and installed a LS1 from a 2003 Corvette with the help of Hinson Supercars. The install is very very clean and everything is in tip top shape.

The car pulls like a raped ape, much much harder than anything I've owned before. I think this is the first car I've had that has a performance capability that so exceeds my skills, haha. I took the car to the shop for new plugs/wires, an oil change, and a baseline dyno

Car has basic bolt-ons and an LS6 intake, coilovers, polywhatever bushings, R compounds, etc etc. I'll be posting some better pics from the Rebel when I have some time in the next couple of days.

Thanks everybody, I was very happy to find one in such great condition considering it's a 20 year old car. I can't even describe how much fun it is to drive.

Welcome to the swap club, hopefully it has a TII rear diff if not start looking...

I'm not sure about the rear diff but I figure it won't be a big deal if I have to replace one. The car won't see the 1/4 mile strip very often at all, it's really just to hop in and have fun on nice days.
