1999 Dodge Durango SLT+. Nothing fancy really, but it's what I learned to drive in and then drove it all over Pittsburgh blasting the Infinity in high school. Got lucky in it a few times too. ;) First taste of true freedom.

5.9L? I had a white '00 SLT+ with the 5.9 and that thing was a blast in high school, plus being part time 4wd it was fun in snow; eventually had '06 SLT 5.7 Hemi my last year of HS, and it was slower than the '00! LOL

Had the 5.2. I got in enough trouble with it as it was. Practiced my drifting quite a bit on the gravel roads around my parents house in 2WD.

Not an exact pic of my car, but similar to what I had. 96 Firebird Formula with automatic trans. Wish I would have kept this car. The rear control arm bushings were squeaking really bad. I had the control arms replaced several times and the noise kept coming back. I traded the car in for a 98 dodge ram 4x4 sport. After I traded the car, I stumbled across the fix in a jeg's magazine. I was pissed.

I miss my svx, a lot. It wasn't fast or anything, and I'm not sure why I miss that piece of shit, but nobody had one (especially a manual-swapped one) and this one was mine.. plus the fact I didn't have a car payment lol.

This little turd was my first turbo and first rwd car. It was probably the funnest car I've owned because it cost next to nothing and I could beat the hell out of it without a care in the world. Once I started buying more expensive cars I feel like that love and fun has faded. You would think buying nicer cars along life's path would make you like them more. I guess the grass is always greener...

What car is that?

I don't miss any of them. If I missed them, I wouldn't have sold them.

I had a choice; watch it rot away in a garage somewhere just so I could say I owned it, or sell it (preferably someplace where I won't see it) and use the money for something I'm actively enjoying.

QFT.

My bro-in-law just commented this weekend on how nice the Passat still looked (Sean "Crossle" gave it a wash after doing a bunch of work on the engine). This is a guy that leases 2-3 year old BMW's/Mercs. My Passat has been in 3 accidents and has over 167k one-owner miles on it.

I do want nicer cars in life, but I'm proud to say that I'm having a blast with the vehicles I've owned, and I try to take pride in my ride no matter what life is throwing at me.

Clearly, there is an episodic function to the cars we miss: most are not necessarily the nicest/fastest cars we've ever driven, but we filled them with a lot of memories. I'm going to guess in the span of my lifetime that the favorite cars I've owned WEREN'T while I was simultaneously burdened with the responsibilities of having a young family!

I wish I had alsmost every sports car I ever owned back.

I probably miss my 06 Viper Coupe and 07 Z06(when it was stock) the most.

The ones I really could care less about 2010 GTR and 2010 Camaro. Neither did it for me. I would have liked the Camaro more if it had stripes, was an auto, and some go fast parts..
