Orion
But instead I bet we go with some dumb Oregon State matte black look that will make me think of a primered car from the South End. I bet if they did that AND added GREEN buckeye leaves, Tilley would burn down Geeto's house... Well, would ya look at that....
2 Sweet
Florida's qb just got suspended for a year due to PED's per espn Just saw that after I made my last post. Very sorry, 2 Sweet. Guess it's back to the Treon Harris show. This is bad not only for the rest of this season but for next season too since he is suspended for a full year. He won't be eligible again until week 7 of the 2016 season. Not only is he suspended for a calendar year, he loses an extra year of eligibility. So he goes from starting as a redshirt freshman, to sitting out a year and returning midway thru next season as a junior. What the fuck man. That's a pretty harsh deal for taking some over the counter weight gainer. I'm glad there won't be a significant dropoff from Grier to Harris, but man, I had really high hopes for Grier. Forrest Gump 9
Maybe it's just me (and I'll have to consult the stats to verify this), but Ohio State seems to do worse at home, and especially at night games at home. Meaning, it feels like Ohio State loses a disproportionate amount of night games at home. Night games at home that stand out in this vein: Penn State 2008, USC 2009, and Virginia Tech 2014. In fact (and I've said this before), I think, under Meyer, Ohio State has been a better road team than a home team. I think we get lazy and complacent at home, and on the road we are forced to be focus, galvanized, etc. Again, I should fact-check myself with stats. In the meantime, I'm worried about Penn State. And I swear to all that is holy, if we lose to them in those stupid fucking all black uniforms I'll change my name to something like Johnny Alt Uni or Johnny Fuckeyes just out of spite. For the record, I'd be okay with the black unis if we kept the silver helmet. But instead I bet we go with some dumb Oregon State matte black look that will make me think of a primered car from the South End. Nebraska 2012 Penn State 2013 Wisconsin 2011 Wisconsin 2013 Illinois 2014 Cincy 2014 (6pm) There's also the Texas game, just saying.... Ohio State absolutely underperforms at home. I think Ohio State needs to play with a chip on their shoulder to get their full effort it seems. They seem to preform the best under pressure on the road or at a neutral site (i.e. last 3 games of last year). I think they need to have some adversity to play to their potential. That's why I won't be upset if they are ranked 2nd or 3rd in the first playoff poll. Maybe they will pull their heads out of their ass and play at a different level than they are now. So someone going to die before they snap back to shape?
LJ
There's also the Texas game, just saying.... So someone going to die before they snap back to shape?the only other home night game in the 2000's is 2003 Washington State, who was ranked and was a W Ooh yeah 2001 vs #14 Northwestern and was a win 8-4 in home nigh games since 2000? 5-1 under Urban. Dr. Pomade
the only other home night game in the 2000's is 2003 Washington State, who was ranked and was a W Ooh yeah 2001 vs #14 Northwestern and was a win 8-4 in home nigh games since 2000? 5-1 under Urban. So, I'm willing to bet both of those averages are well below (1) Ohio State's overall winning percentage, (2) their winning percentage since 2000; and (3) their winning percentage under Meyer. Dr. Pomade
8-4 in home night games = 66% winning percentage 5-1 under Meyer = 80% winning percentage ______________________________________ Ohio State's overall win percentage = 72% (got that from Wikipedia) Ohio State is, by my count, 164 - 36 since 2000. That means they have played 200 games since 2000 (which is kind of cool), and have won 164 of them. That winning percentage is 82% Ohio State is, under Meyer, 44-3. That is a winning percentage of 93%. Edit: my count included the 2010 season because I saw with my own eyes Ohio State beat 12 teams that year (and they should have beat Wisconsin, too - fuck you, Bielema). Orion
Nebraska 2012 Ranked #21 when we played them. Played for the B1G championship and got annihilated by Wisky. Finished the season in the top 25 Penn State 2013 We straight crushed. 63-14. I was at this game Wisconsin 2011 Was ranked as high as #4 this year, only losses to #15 MSU, #6 Oregon (Rose Bowl) and unranked OSU (Fuck you, Bert) Finished the season in the top 15 Wisconsin 2013 Ranked as high as #14, finished the season in the top 20 Illinois 2014 Crushed by 41 points Cincy 2014 (6pm) Won by 22. Bearcats were never ranked, but did win the AAC this year. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that, we played well against the shitty opponents, and had a more difficult time with the tougher ones on this list. Seems fairly normal to me. Night games tend to be against more difficult opponents, as they are higher profile games. That our record in those games is worse than his overall record isn't that much of a surprise. Okay, not going to lie, I actually don't hate that. *dies

bicranium
Lot of P5 jobs open already. Illinois, Maryland, USCw and now USCe. I hope Spurrier goes the commentator route. He'd be like an old, white football version of Charles Barkley. He already speaks his mind for the most part as a HC but without being an official representative of a school he'll be able to say even more off the wall stuff. Orion
If you rush for 166 yards more than your opponent, you are supposed to win. That is ridiculous.
