I'm going to try it some time but what kind of yogurt do you use? lp johnny Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 I don't know the real name for it...butChicken Suprise1 1/2 lbs chicken breast1 can cream of chicken soup1 can cream of mushroom(or cream of celery)1 med container of sour cream..I use low fat1 med onion (optional)1 can Stove Top stuffingCook chicken, cut into med. chunks and layer in bottom of a cake pan Mix soups and sour cream together.. add onion (chopped fine) if you wishPour soup/sour cream mixture over chicken chunksCook Stuffing extra moist and top over soup/chickenCover with foil and bake 35 mins at 350..Serve with nice soft dinner rolls..Enjoy! SchmuckGirl Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 Ok, here's another quick and easy recipe that uses up any leftover chicken you may have:Chicken Fried Rice2 eggs1 tablespoon water1 tablespoon butter1 tablespoon vegetable oil1 onion, chopped2 cups cooked white rice, cold2 tablespoons soy sauce1 teaspoon ground black pepper1 cup cooked, chopped chicken meatIn a small bowl, beat egg with water. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add egg and leave flat for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from skillet and cut into shreds. Heat oil in same skillet; add onion and saute until soft. Zach Posted August 20, 2009 Report Share Posted August 20, 2009 Super easy cajun style dirty rice.This is for a BIG BATCH.2lbs Italian sausage (I get the 1lb 'tubes' but you can use links if you skin 'em)1 big ass onion (think softball) chopped2 green peppers chopped6 cans of beef broth6 cans worth of instant white riceStart to brown the sausage and add the onionAfter sausage is brown, add peppers.Add beef broth and bring to a boilAdd rice and remove from heat, stir and cover.Wait 5 minutes or so and PRESTO! delicious dinner!This can be scaled for smaller portions.Different meats can be added/substituted. It was delicious and easy!Mushroom and Chicken OrzoINGREDIENTS1/2 cup butter, divided8 pearl onions1 cup uncooked orzo pasta2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms1 cup water1/2 cup white winegarlic powder to tastesalt and pepper to taste1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese1/4 cup fresh parsley1/2 the meat pulled from a small rotisserie chicken DIRECTIONSMelt 1/2 the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the onions, and cook until golden brown. Mix in orzo, mushrooms, and remaining butter. Cook and stir 5 minutes, until butter is melted and mushrooms are tender. Pour water and wine into the skillet, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 7 to 10 minutes, until orzo is al dente. Back in high school, during bus trips for away games, the moms would make these and put them in tins for the team to snack on.1 - pound of ground sausage1 - cup shredded cheddar2 - cups Bisquick biscuit mix3/4 - milkMix all ingredients together.Roll into quarter size balls.Place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.I made these for a carry in at work this morning.... Add 1 can chicken broth, 2 packets taco seasoning and 2 packets hidden valley ranch mix. Leave crock on low or medium till chicken temps out, then shred breast with forks and make tacos. Crumbled cooked. 1 pk lasagna noodles cooked, 4 cups mixed Italian cheeses, 4 cups mozzarella cheeses, ricotta or cottage cheese plus veggies.
