Most of 164 is repaved (some chip and seal and some asphalt). I think it changed to asphalt past Amsterdam but it was all really nice. Rt.9 was a good ride also. Nice scenery, good surface and many curves. I don't live far from Deerfield Circle and I am going to try and make the ride on Sunday. Have fun. hardwired Posted August 27, 2010 Report Share Posted August 27, 2010 Yeah Rt 164 isn't bad, and if you get a chance take 517 east out of Lisbon to Rt7 (its a good twisty fun ride), then if you turn south on Rt7 towards East Liverpool sections of it is extreme curves once you go thru Rogers (home of the famous Rogers Auction). I was out there Sunday afternoon.One of the best Roads is 646, heading east from Scio. 164 is pretty fun too. 9 and 43 this time of year are busy busy busy.If you want to try this again next weekend, I'm in. Have fun.The other side of 164- East of Amsterdam- is the one that has all kinds of gravel and stuff in the road. The repaved section was nice on Sunday... you can hit that section pretty hard. I usually go straight down 534 to get to the good roads, so if nobody else is coming, I can meet you down in your neck of the woods on the way through (Chevy dealer 14 and 534 maybe?)
