CoolWhip
Hey guys, I have contacted this guy about this bike and I wanted to know what you guys think. Is this worth it with a rebuilt title? I love the CBRs. Let me know. Thanks!http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/2379890000.html
Benyen Soljax
I don't think I would give him more than $2000, it doesn't even have a full set of fairings. See if you can find what 2001's are going for on ebay or CList without a rebuilt title and compare.
Steve Butters
cool looking bike - but that is a clean title price...i wouldnt pay more than 1500-1800 for it as-is

serpentracer
it's 10 years old....$2300 is pretty ambitious for a 10 year old bike with a salvage title and it's clearly been "altered". you can't just fit one of those kinds of handlebars on a bike like that.make no mistake he used the words rebuilt title but it actually means it's a salvage title. if it wasn't ever impounded by the cops, then it's been totaled. CoolWhip
So is the general consensus that this is bad news?
Helmutt
I'd throw a $1500 offer to him if you're serious about buying it.other than the obvious probs, just never know - from what I'm told salvage title inspections aren't THAT hard to pass
Mykill
I would try to get him under 2k. I actually like it without the fairings. Looks kind of like a SV/Honda baby.Go check it out. If it is a sound bike and its worth it to you then get it.
Steve Butters
So is the general consensus that this is bad news?not necessarily - just isnt worth the price hes asking, even if it is mechanically sound
serpentracer
salvage title = bargaining leverage.
Helmutt
The more I look at it, looks to me like a stunter bike thats almost put back to stock - the cutdown windscreen with dirt style bars and no mirrors? Telltale signs of a stunt ride which would be kind of ragged at 13k miles.Dont know for sure just keep it in mind if you check it out. CoolWhip
told me he sold it for $2200
Benyen Soljax
its a shitty time to be buying cheap entry-ish bikes. look again in like october and youll get the same bike for whatever you want to pay.
