Carry an M&P Compact 40 caliber. rest stay in the safe unless hunting or spending the day shooting which in turn means spending the night cleaning them all!

If money were no object, I'd own a short-barrel shotgun for home defense and emergency hunting duty; a 9mm carry pistol; a .380 wheel gun; and probably a .22lr pistol for good measure (and because .22lr is cheap and easy to stockpile). After that, a high(er) powered rifle would probably be a good thing to have. Nothing crazy, but something with more range.
