Meanie
If anyone in the Insight service area is thinking about getting service from Insight please PM me. They have introduced a friends and family plan, and if you sign up for anything above basic cable you'll receive a check from Insight for either $25 or $75. The catch is it can only be used to pay your Insight bill. You have to be a customer for 90 days to receive the check, you cannot receive the bonus if you have been a customer in the last 90 days.Cable TV, High speed internet, and phone service runs $90 a month, with no contracts. We just updated our internet speed download speed to 10M on Wednesday. We have around 10,000 titles ON Demand with a good portion of them being free. The best part is you know someone that works for Insight. If you have an issue let me know I will get it taken care of. Again if you are interested please PM me, I will need to direct you to the friends and family site and provide my ID number. P.S. I am NOT in sales. They just rolled this special out today and I figured I'd pass it along.

As with any contract negotiations one side wants more money and the other side doesn't want to pay more for the same service they have had. Insight will never remove a service because of contract negotiations. If the channel is removed (and we hope it is not) it will be removed by the broadcaster. Hopefully they come to an agreement before the end of the year.

Meanie
I have HD cable and internet along with the sports and movie packages, Do i need to shut everything down and reboot to get the faster internet or just the modum?Just power cycle the modem. If you have a router connected to it, unplug the power from the router then unplug the power from the modem. Wait a few seconds, plug the modem in and wait for it to come fully back online, then plug your router back in and wait for it to come back online. If you have just a modem with no router just unplug the modem for about 10 seconds and plug it back in.

Meanie
Thanks, i will be doing this when i get home! not a problem. If you wanna test it before power cycling go to speedtest.insight.rr.com and run the speedtest then at the bottom of that page there is a link to Time Warners Speed test run both of them and see what speed you get. max power
Does the $90 include tax? If so, I may be signing up. We have WOW currently since Insight kept raising our rates for classic cable with 1 HD DVR, basic RR, and phone to $125/mo. What made me finally say FU Insight was the letter I got saying they were raising my rate again by $20/mo. For no better reason than being a loyal customer. Pissed me off HUGE! Ever since they have been trying to intice me with promises of $75/mo., but I don't trust them anymore. I'm not trying to play the cable co.'s game of "how much $ can we squeeze out of this bubby for luxury services he can live without". Besides, after taxes and bullshit fees, we're back up to $100/mo. There is a reason they have no contract. Its so they can jack the rates on you at any time for no reason.
Pokey
Not impressed with Insight "used to have them" now have WOW and am much more pleased overrall. Insight main office is also located in the ghetto, where WOW is just a few miles away from me.

If your interested PM me what you would want IE how many rooms, how many DVRs, and I'll try to get you a good estimate. I don't work in the billing department, so I don't know what all else gets added to the price.
