:tree: ...you need to knock it the fuck off!

I've been hearing bikes back on Charter Street near Journal off and on now

for a couple weeks, whoever you are you need to find another place to do this shit!

I live in the development right near that end of Charter and you're WOT fucking racing needs to stop.

If you continue to do it, one of two things will eventually happen...

1. you will wreck

2. you will go to jail

The road surface is not as smooth back there as it used to be and there are plenty of

deer living in the woods right there, so haulin ass at night is a big risk back there.

:popo:

And the police will be called EVERY time I hear you back there, and I won't be the only one calling,

there are 150 homes back here and we went thru this shit with hot rods back there a few years ago

and they finally left after having the cops called on them every time. There is a Columbus Police

officer that lives back here too that will most likely end up catching you back there one of these times.

You might be gone before dispatch gets a car out there but this guy can see the road from his back window!

Go get 'em, Tiger! :D

In all seriousness, this sort of thing irks me, too.

I remember being 18 - I probably pissed off a bunch of the eighbors. Sorry for being young and dumb; I'm older now, but still dumb sometimes.

It's been happening on a increasing basis lately. Probably a couple guys

in the area stumbled across the road and think they found the shit.

That road was the shit, back before 2003 when this neighborhood went in,

now people live here and drag racing is not ok, move on. :nono:

The section of road I am referring to is straight and three lanes wide,

secluded from view of main roads and is technically ideal for racing, accept

for its proximity to 150 homes!

Have scruit show up as an undercover racer. Then you'll have video evidence.

I'll have to keep my gopro charged up and ready to go, then I can buzz

over there if I hear them. The problem is you never know when they are

gonna show up, and will only be back there for a few minutes. This is

why they will be hard to catch, the hot rodders stuck around longer.

We (the neighbors) have video from the hot rods back there, it's up on

youtube somewhere, let me find it.

Video shot in 2007 by one of my neighbors, I took the still photos of

the burnout marks and edited the video. The group used scanners

to monitor the police and were almost always gone by the time they showed up.

With constant calls to the police from neighbors, they eventually got tired

of having time for only one race before having to pack things up so they just stopped coming.

I heard of one bad accident back there with a car flipping.

Damn, NIMBY's have to go an ruin all the fun.

Man how this brings back the memories of being 16-18 and dragging our late 60's and 70's muscle cars against all the late model Camaros and Mustangs (this was early 80's).

Cops would come and we would be long gone. Locals would be out on their yards, turning on light and bitchin!!!

Thankfully, staties built a really nice ring road around town that was essentially vacant day or night.

Yes, it was dangerous but what a lot of fun on those midsummer nights out in the cornfields.

2003? Hell I remember living there on the weekend nights in '01 and '02. But it was also just industrial then...

01/02? shit, we were out there every weekend just a few years ago....the videos i posted were like summer 09 i think...maybe 08....thats still a good spot....theres a few others, but for quick money races that is a great place to hit up real quick and then bail out of....very easy to see any police coming and call it in before they show

So you bought a house next to a drag strip and now you're bitching about the noise.
