Whats your thoughts on this

2010 Vstar 1300 with 2289 miles. Original owner was scared to death of it, previous owner let it go in a trade for a custom built 69 GTO. The bike has a clean ohio title, its a nice bike and has aftermarket pipes. Guy wants $7000 wont budge. He says the blue book is over 10k. Is this guy just blowing smoke, or is this a pretty decent deal? Ive never checked out a cruiser on the market to purchase. Ive always counted on my dad to let me use his Valkyrie. Im thinking about it but not sure, i wanted to see what people here thought about it.

It isn't near $10k according to KBB. I can't tell you how the market it on cruiser/touring bike are though

Thats kinda what i was thinking. I dont think this bike even retailed new for more than 11k

we just bought my wifes 2007 vstar 1100 with 6000miles(has factory windshield, bags, and back rest)we only paid $5800 out the door tax and all and it is flawless, and i slapped a set of V&H slip ons for another $300

I would not touch that thing for 7k. I've been keeping an eye on V Stars and VTX's and much much better deals can be had

Pice is high but like someone else said you get what you pay for. You are paying more for the low mileage. With that being said, I would say $5,500-$6,500 would be fair.

Seems a little high to me. I've seen Raiders go for that much with the same mileage.

Well i talked to him about it again today, offered him 6350 for it and he laughed at me. Said there is no way hes going to go below 7k. I laughed and said your loss, good luck selling it this late in the season at that price.
