Watching Barrett-Jackson tonight and mine came across the stage.

1972 Corvette coupe in Steel Cities Gray with the LT1 350 and a 4 speed.

I know what you are thinking, lame! But it was the first Vette my dad bought when he was 25 in 1975 and it was the first hot rod (he had many) I remember him having.

AAAND its a car I might be able to afford one day.

So, what's yours? Post up a pic and why it's your dream car.

My father in law has a 78 corvette anniversary edition pretty much new <3k miles.

I am not sure that i have a "dream car", but I have driven lots of cars that I would like to own. In the next 12 months or less I will probably pick up a Bentley coupe.

I saw that roll across the line, and it looked very sharp under the lights.

I'd say in an old muscle car

1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS-6.

My uncle was a GM employee in 70, and got one as a company car. He had the option to buy it, and he did. He later started to drag race it, and sold it around 1980 when his son was born.

I bet he wishes he didnt sell it. That car is also high on my list along with a 70 mustang.

It makes him sick to watch Barrett Jackson and see what they are going for. Obviously, his was no where near the shape of those, but he kept it in pristine shape even though he raced it.

The next car he bought from GM that he had as a company car was an 87 Grand National, that he still owns. He will not get rid of that car. He shows it, and drag races it still. Fastest is a mid 10.

My dad owned a late 70's corvette, which made him start hating chevy.

My dream car would be a McLaren F1. I fell in love with it once I found out about it when I was young and it still holds the same allure, unfortunately it holds an even higher price tag than when it was new.

Unfortunately neither, I was bidding on this one and once it cracked 60 I stopped, I think I would have pissed off the wife buying a Bentley as a winter car.

Thats sharp. But there are lots of cars I'd rather spend 60 large on.

I can say that i have my dream car, I first saw it when I was about 12 and fell in love. A few years later my dad was able to work a deal and I almost had it drivable my senior year of high school. It has been a good 12 years of ownership and its never leaving my ownership while im still kicking.

Noble M600

Quick stats - a 4.4-litre Volvo/Yamaha V8 produces three power outputs . The ‘Road' setting gives you 450bhp, ‘Track' bumps it up to 550bhp, and ‘Race' commands 650bhp. Each increases the boost curve and throttle response.

It weighs 1,250kgs, gives around 530bhp-per-tonne, prompting the inevitable headline-grabbing reference to something Bugatti-shaped and fast...
