  2. Oh man, glad it is going to get better. You can file a simple form with the State. They will suspend her license until she sets up a payment system with you and sticks to it. You want the Security claim section. I have used it, it worked. But make sure there isn't longer term issues, maybe lawyer up. https://www.bmv.ohio.gov/susp-ins-noncomply.aspx

Third stop breaks interstate motel thought they would have food they didn’t they wanted 120 bucks a night and there was nobody even there I said screw this no food, then it started to pour then I found the interstate motel $60 a night 2 miles from the brakes interstate motel someone just bought it so they’re remodeling but the room was clean and I ate chips , Then drove through flooded back roads

  7. I get what you are saying. I would only add this....her irresponsibility cost you. Get her suspended, yes she will drive again...and when she harms the next person they will have the history on her to drop a hammer. It is your civic duty to fuck with her! 🤣

  8. Left the house at 7:30 home at 4:10, 473 miles. It was an awesome day. The weather was perfect. 556 and 800 out of Fly were my favorites for today.

  12. You missed the best option. Get an 18+. Faster, more ground clearance and better suspension. Pegs drag way before anything else.

  13. Betting that since the onset of COVID--and the unraveling of basic societal behavior norms--it's far higher, prolly approaching 30-40%. Worse yet in the west and SW and FL. Personal accountability has been thrown out the window as a result of the progressive policies being pushed across the nation.

  14. Got out with my dad and brother for a KLR riding day. Made it over to Moonville tunnel. Had to cut the ride a little short (brother went down and his knee was swelling pretty bad). Overall, great riding though.

  16. Tires replaced and wheels reinstalled on the GSA. 2400 miles of the Smokeys put a hurting on them. New tires came in for the RS, so they're being installed tomorrow. Had to pull the muffler to get the rear wheel off. That would suck if it took longer than 30 seconds to remove. Tomorrow's adventure will be Helibar installation. Right now it's bed time because I've been doing actual work this week and I am too tired to attempt it tonight.

  19. https://www.rideapart.com/news/600819/bmw-gs-cardan-shaft-recall/ It's not a recall and I had not planned on having it inspected by a dealership because I inspect my final drive every spring. I drain the fluid, drop the differential, remove the driveshaft, clean and lubricate the splines and then reassemble. I then refill the final drive with 180mL of synthetic gear lube via a graduated fill bottle. I have installed a breather tube that runs up the swing arm and into the subframe to keep water from entering the hollow swingarm. I also installed an upgraded magnetic, stainless steel drain plug to catch and hold any shavings or debris. The final drive of my bike is not even remotely a concern for me, but I am not opposed to dropping it off at a dealership to get a stamp of approval from a certified BMW mechanic.

  20. You mean never tested positive for it. A lot of people that get it are asymptomatic.

  21. I've ridden that area once a few years ago, after the Labor Day slow down. Still a big tourist draw with slow lines of cars and motorhomes on Alt74 in the Lake Lure/Bat Cave area. Just a heads up. No idea what you'll find. Obviously, 80 is hoot, 197 between Barnardsville and Burnsville is nice but there's about a 3-4 mile section of well graded gravel on the west side of the climb. Not sure you want to do that on the luxo-barge two-up. Roan Mtn 261/143 from Bakersville is a great road.

  22. So Deb and I seek very good cool restaurants on our trips. For the last four or five years our favorite appetizer was from a restaurant in Santa Fe NM. It was BBQ quail tacos. The tacos have been dethroned. Holy smokes are these mushrooms good.

  27. If you tough it out to Marr I believe it is you get rewarded with some fresh, new asphalt. The new asphalt starts right around where 537 comes in. If they’d open 537 it would be a great route.

  31. 333 miles. Took 93/83/78/377/550/26/800 and had breakfast at the Triple Nickel Diner. Tires are horrible. The quick shifter isn't as smooth as the GSA, but it functions. The windscreen has two positions... loud and louder. The brakes will get a fluid exchange this week because I think it's running the original fluid. They have two settings.. slightly slowing and endo, but boy do they stop that bike right now. The engine belongs in a sportbike. It's so good. Torque everywhere. Riding position isn't hateful and the seat is decently supportive for a stock pad. The suspension is without flaw, although more harsh than the GSA over bumps. I presume the lack of telelever is the culprit and I am just spoiled. The dash is meh, but easy to use once you figure out which button does what. Cruise control on a sportbike should be mandatory. I like being able to touch the ground with both feet at a stop. 10/10, would purchase again.
