I'm 53 and ride big cruisers. When I get older and can't lift a 900 pound bike I will buy a trike or a can am. At which point you can deal with it or blow me. Either way is fine with me. Hopefully that helps you get a feel for this place. We don't judge, except for asshats. Those we are pretty hard on.

I have a friend that rides a can am and she rides it because she had a bad low slide on her cruiser, and actually likes it over her old bike. I don't judge her because she still likes to get out and enjoy the ride just like us. You'll find all walks of life on this board man most are cool as hell when you get to know them a little, and will help you out as much as possible.

I'll admit I am stereotyping a bit. My opinions are mostly based on a few people that I ran into who ride those things. More than a little pretentious. Almost like "wild hogs " meets "the kardashians".

There are folks that like to ride but can't do 2 wheels for whatever reason. I have nothing against them.

The gunman who killed 12 people at a Navy base in Washington entered with a valid pass and a legally purchased shotgun, the FBI said Tuesday. Once inside, Aaron Alexis, 34, may have obtained a handgun after he began shooting, said Valerie Parlave, assistant director of the FBI's Washington field office. He brought the shotgun legally in neighboring Virginia, and there is no evidence he had an assault rifle as some reports have said, Parlave addded. Alexis, who was shot and killed after his rampage Monday, was working on a Navy contract through computer giant Hewlett-Packard. "Mr. Alexis had legitimate access to the Navy Yard as a result of his work as a contractor, and he utilized a valid pass to gain entry to the building," Parlave told a news conference. His motive remains a mystery, she said. "We continue to conduct interviews, exploit digital media, and run down every lead we can to piece together his recent movements and determine the motive behind his attack," she said. I am opposed to getting involved, but for different reasons. Assad using chemical weapons on crazy Arabs is far more effective than anything we could do. And make no mistake, the people he is gassing are no better than he is. I would hope Iraq, Afgan and Egypt have at least taught us that.

I'm opposed to involvement because we don't need to get involved in their civil war. (Unless involvment means nuking all of the Middle East) Also, if we do go in, it will be a never ending "peace-keeping" mission again. They won't be willing to do what is necessary to suceed. If they were willing to fully engage with air power, unrentless tomahawks and arty, loosen ROE/EOF, and persue over borders to prevent fleeing/hiding out, we could end this quickly with a significant show of violence of action. Hell a response like that could get countries to take us seriously again. The Middle East would hate us more, but who really gives a shit about what they think? Once they are out of oil, they will be ignored by the civilized world. But that won't happen. We'll dip our toe in the water and get stuck in the pool.
