  1. Well this turned interesting. I like wheelies and stuff but I'm the first to say those idiots doing it on populated roads are fucking idiots. I only ever even think of it in empty areas. I don't even like to speed when there's traffic on the road.

  3. Seems to forget about the frame, forks, wheels, swinger, tank and of course motor and exhaust are all metal....and full of gasoline and hot oil/coolant. That couldn't possibly cause injury or death tho, because reasons and science.

  6. Dammit Doug. Lol On a closed course on public property you're fine. There's nothing anyone can do. If you don't actually own the property there is literally a metric fuckton of legalities that come into play. If there is even a smidgen of doubt whether you should be doing it or not, you probably shouldn't do it. Js. Wheelies are against the law. That's just the way it is. As is reckless operation. But I hear you can get "wheelies for jesus" stickers that will help your chances with the local law enforcement.

  10. "I'm not a stunter but I do whoolies on public streets to impress kids and drunks outside bars. This is totally ok in my opinion and I'm not a stunter, I just do stunts" Yeah buddy, and Andy dick isn't gay, he just sucks a lot of cock. Gonna make a mental note not to be anywhere near you on a group ride, you haven't matured past a certain point yet and I don't truck with that nonsense.

  11. I sincerely hope that no one, ever has to scrape you off of the road. Or tell your parents, wife, and or kid what happened. For what? So some stupid bimbo in the halter top in the next lane cracked a smile. Stunting is one thing that should be kept in parking lots and off of public roads. Ride your ride, but don't ride that shit around me. Old man ran over. Now, get off my lawn.

  12. Of course I have and of course I'm not perfect. My point, is exactly the fact that I have yet nobody was put in danger by it, except me. And putting aside something freakish (like the car next to me freaking out beyond reason and doing something ridiculous) 99% of the time NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN to anybody else except me, I'm going to pay the price, not the person watching. And if you live life worried about that other 1 % you have a pussy mindset. My mindset isn't politically correct, but it's far from flawed. I know I cant win this argument in this place but I really don't care, there's a reason the stunting section in this forum is dead because anybody who shows interest in it is labeled douchebag... its online, everyone loves being politically correct online. Its like people who say speeding on a bike is the worst thing in the world, its a joke. Going 85 in a 65 on a motorcycle is so dangerous and so selfish right?...I'll take flak on here all day but in the real world when I do a wheelie I see excited faces inside cars and almost everytime I get a thumbs up, and I continue my cruise with a smile on my face feeling good...that's the real world.

  13. Don't listen to this guy. He's a 12 o'clocker on that big Kawasaki. In all seriousness, doing a wheelie or stoppie on a deserted country road with good sight lines and no pullouts is ok by me if you know what you are doing or are prudent on the learning curve. Problem is that most folks that are into stunting are "look at me" types that want the attention of all the folks in rush hour. Stunters have a bad reputation because of this, thus all the "douchbag" comments.

  19. Dear Squid, 12 o'clock boys may crown you their king. You're so open minded it's hard to believe you can't consider: A car avoiding you and hitting another car, or stationary object. A riders helmet/ head can go through a window and injure someone in a car. Is it likely no? Is it you're right to make the decision for everyone else? NO. People may have other things to do in their day than mess with insurance( can you afford to reimburse them if your insurance denies a game playing claim?, go to the repair shop. have a wrecker pull their car off the top of you/your bike. It's all thumbs up until something goes wrong.

  30. you right its not politically correct... its down right wrong... I'm willing to accept some concessions.. but you, yourself are failing to see that you just proved my point in your own comment! the other car doing something freakish is everything... lol the stunt section is only dead because of douchebags on public roads... but there was quite a few guys on that section that share the mentality of keep it smart and off the streets..

  34. douchebag move?...ok. That's a douchebag statement imo. It can be done in a douchebag manner for sure but to just label it as a douchebag move is...like I said. People love seeing stunts, they are entertaining, they are enjoyable to see and do (to a lot of people), and if you aren't an idiot, they aren't dangerous. If you do this thing called practice, you wont be a danger to yourself nor to others. "The asshole stunter speaks" no, I'm not a stunter, I don't stunt out my bike, but I will do stunts on public roads on and off, and I'm not being a douchebag about it. A kid signals wheelie so I'm a douche for doing one?...people at a bar or a party are outside having a good time, Knowing they'd love to see it I'm a douche for doing wheelies for them?...I'm on the highway in my own space and get the urge for doing a wheelie, so I'm a douchebag for enjoying myself? I can answer for you, No, I'm not, and I'm not worried about the haters. On topic, yes you will be more than hassled for stunting on public roads, and if you do it on private property like it was said you have to have permission then you're fine. If you want to try some stunts: 1. Be smart about it, make slow progress don't think you can do what you see on youtube instantly, you'll hurt yourself if not kill yourself if you're really stupid. 2. Find a vacant or low populated street to practice if you don't have access to private property somewhere. If you try practicing in a neighborhood cops will be there in 10 minutes...if you practice on busy streets a cop will see you and pull you...think about where you can go there are public streets out there that aren't used very much that will work. 3. Don't mind haters or people who act like only douchebags stunt...trust me, you give excitement to a lot of people by stunting as long as you aren't stupid about it (stunting through red lights/stop signs, making a bunch of noise in neighborhoods etc etc). So if it's an interest, try it out!

  36. I do stoppies all the time I'm the grom. Never been hassled. Did do a huge one last week next to a Harley getting off the highway, I got the rear damn high and he was laughing thinking I was going to bite it, then he turned around to look at his gearless wife, lost his balance and fell over.

  38. Well as of this morning I'm down 30lbs since 2/09/16. I'm not doing anything complex...just stuff most weight loss program sources will tell you. Tracking all of my food intake with MyFitnessPal app. Trying to stay under 1000 calories between lunch and breakfast and eating the balance for dinner, snacks. My snacks are generally nuts, yogurt, fruit or veggies. Eating at or a little below my BMR (~2300) in calories per day (I had it measured at a health fair at work). I never eat below 1800 calories a day. If I'm truly hungry, I eat. I'm sufficiently chubby enough to eat below my BMR and still put on muscle. You can have yours measured by a dietician relatively cheaply. It's super helpful to have a calorie goal per day. Staying away from high glycemic foods for the most part (white rice, bread, pasta, sugary foods). I still eat the occasional white potato (hate sweet potatoes). Amped up my activity. Been walking A LOT - I get in 10k steps or more every day. I walked 8 miles last Saturday in the cold misty rain. Hitting the weights 3 days a week too. I'm not being overly obsessive about my diet, and instead make concessions. They brought in pizza to work the other day and I had a few slices (not 4) and stuck with cheese slices (not pepperoni or meat). I have a realistic weight loss goal though no real timeline to reach it. I'm ok with slow and steady even though I've made a lot of progress in a short period of time. It's easy to lose weight when you have a lot to lose. I fully expect the rate of loss to tail off exponentially as I near my goal. Once I meet that, I'll probably set a new goal. I did the low carb diet and it worked really well for me (see above post) but more and more I was finding it too difficult and unsatisfying to stay on long term. I do a lot of business and social dinners/lunches and much of the time it's extremely hard to stay low carb and still get enough to eat. As a side note, I've done a lot of lifting in the past. I'm pretty strong (bench 300+ when my shoulders feel ok) and have a fairly good build (under the fat). Adding muscle and strength always seemed to take a long time in my 30's but I'm finding I'm adding strength and muscle much easier now and I think it's because I'm not lifting as often. In the past I think I was lifting too frequently (I'm in my 40's now so I really need the extra recovery time). I'm lifting only 3 days a week one day chest/tri's/shoulders, one day back/bi's/abs and one day legs - rest days in between. I've read in the past that many people overtrain and don't make the gains they should and I'm seeing that in my case. So, if you are lifting and not making a lot of progress, maybe back off a bit.

  39. I always used Nevr-Dull made by Eagle One on all my chrome when I had a cruiser. All you need is a little piece and I could do all my pipes. It comes in a can and you pull off a piece like cotton swabs. It cleans out corrosion and stuck on road grime. You can use it on any metal. I also used it on a set of polished aluminum rims to keep them shiny.

  40. The dogs and the cat know I'm the alpha. He's not unruly but very friendly, trusting, playful cat who communicates when he needs something very clearly. He's just a high maintenance, dirty, destroying, asshole creature by nature, who provides little in return compared to dogs. He's more expensive than horses or dogs. I'm amazed at the amount of cat supporters here. Never again. He ate rat poison the other week, I thought I would be free of him, but he didn't eat enough. How did he get rat poison? By climbing up the countertop, then up the fridge, then up to the top of wall cabinets. I've had pets all my life. This cat is hands down the biggest pain in the ass. I'd never suggest a cat to anyone unless it lived outside.
