Eclipse Trip: Wife and I took a few days’ to ride, ”Slow” down thru Kentucky to Crossville, TN. area to view the Eclipse. We traveled on curvy back roads most of the time until we were returning home trying to out run the thunderstorms that slammed us around McArthur, OH. First night was in Slade, Kentucky with pizza at Migules. Next day we followed the (KAT) route south staying on the asphalt down past Jamestown, TN. near Crossville, TN. It was hot and traffic was picking up so we headed back into the forest with tree cover and Mountain rocks that were wet to stay cool while we waited for the Moon thing. After the event we stopped by the former secret town of Oak Ridge grabbed a snack and headed back on the (KAT) route to Jellico, TN. and spent the night at Pine Mountain State Park Lodge. Next morning we started heading home still trying to stay on the back roads to stay cool but still try to beat the storms. We had a great time. I love the asphalt back roads of Kentucky. As far as basic bike handling skills go, I think it's hard to beat starting on a dirt bike offroad. I rode quads and dirt bikes in my early teens which made transition to street bike easier. This doesn't train you for dealing with traffic though.

i personally contacted some regular folks that show up all the time and they seem unable to make it this day, but still since many have free day to ride i will post up a ride for sep 16 itself. And probably we can do one another one end of the month as well. As long as we get to meet shake hands and are on motorcycle and riding its a win win for every one no matter which day we do it. Sorry for not posting up much details. As i said things just not lining up right and kinda feeling little down to talk about riding. But i want to get this going since this might be the only way to take your mind off stuff and keep going. i promise to post up more details by end of this week. one thing for sure, Just take off/ block off sep 16 for the ride if at all possible who ever can make it.

I generally don't share much of my personal life...I felt that the photographer captured the moment exceptionally well though. I've waited over a year for the eclipse so I could get this picture and really could not be happier with the result. The eclipse was an amazing thing to get to see and I will be in Ohio in 2024 to see it happen again.

It's definitely a hobby of mine, which I enjoy a lot, but she knows the frustrations of always shooting others but rarely getting my own photos so she has taken it upon herself to learn more about how to use the camera. There were lots of shots that she messed up because she forgot to move up the shutter speed and/or ISO (if needed) to give a bit more sharpness but I appreciate the fact that she will at least do what she can because she knows I enjoy it so much. ( I should have taken out of manual mode and put it into shutter speed priority)

Congrats @what and @jacobhawkins on the bump up! And that's quite a statement against K&N. Maybe NOW they'll step up and look into their design flaws?

Finally got a real bike Del Sol. I love this bike, I just feel like I am cheating my work out.

The bubby's are planning on meeting at the fishin shack to ride that Saturday. We can launch a ride from there (big cul-de-sac in Waterville across from Beverly) with @marlboro man permission.

Different tracks use different flags and sometimes with different meanings. Mid O doesn't use the meatball. The black flag displayed at start finish means come around and see the track Marshall. Black flag from a corner worker pointed at you means get off the track as quickly and safely as possible.
