You are talking to the guy that purposely brought an Angelo's BBQ Chicken Pizza to an OR event JUST because it has pineapple and cinnamon on it. You should try that btw, its freaking delish. I think it has onions on it, just a warning. And yes the cinnamon is a great touch, don't let these barbarians fool you.1 point

I asked the guy what's on the chicken pizza (pizza by the slice place) and he said chicken bacon ranch. I assumed that was all that was on it. You couldn't see the onions at all. And usually I just get cheese or pineapple (let the hate begin) pizza. Don't care for pizza with 50 different toppings.1 point

Mine did the same as well. I’ll never have a fiberglass sided camper again. Pulled out of the corner trim and kept going.1 point

Well one of my fork legs is straight, like within .002. The other is crooked as a Clinton, indicator ran out of travel halfway around. This may slow me down.1 point

Sorry to hear that, but at peace like you said.....surely brutally bittersweet. Parents losing their children has got to be the worst form of loss. My condolences to you and yours sir1 point

Well, back to work after my step-daughter's funeral yesterday. Everything is weird, with a giant chunk of my soul ripped out. She suffered horribly these last 2 months, but now the pain is gone. She is at piece. My sons, my job, and love of bikes will make each day a little brighter. I soooo need to go rip some wheelies....1 point

!!!! This I went to Cheba Hut recently and ordered a sub that the menu listed like 4 things on it. When it showed up it had so many extra veggies and random shit that I thought it wasn't even the right menu item... You couldn't even barely notice the stuff they did actually list... Wasn't happy and it'll take awhile before I give that place another shot... Everyone I know loves it but I don't get it lol1 point

there is nothing worse than a food place not listing all of the main ingredients in/on something. I've caused a few scenes in my day because of it1 point

True story! I have heard the new ones do not have the problem as frequent anymore but i had a fiberglass one literally de laminate and pull open on the Ohio turnpike at 75mph as I was heading to Red Bud for the races. Looked in the passenger mirror and my camper was losing the whole passenger side wall. Man what a weekend that was!1 point

That is a nice little rig right there...I have had very good luck with Jayco...Currently own a Jayco J Flight 32' with duel slides, very well built and minimum maintenance.1 point

The above was advice given to me by someone who's been in the travel trailer business for 30 years. I've seen lots of fiberglass campers delaminate catastrophically, but never once have I seen the siding style delaminate. Just ask Bowdog.1 point

Also... there is more to look at than tow rating. Technically I am overweight when I tow my 5th wheel in my ram 2500. Gcwr is combined weight of the truck and trailer. I am about 23000lbs and under what the ratings are set for with some room to spare. All good there Gvwr is what your truck can weigh when hooked up. So my truck weighs 7800ish lbs empty. Add in driver, passengers, 5th wheel hitch, and pin weight from the camper and I am like 800lbs over on the truck since it is rated at 10,000. While it is capable of more it's set for registration purposes pretty much most 3/4 ton trucks you see towing a 5th wheel and some larger TT are overweight in that regard. Then you have axle weights (gawr) which is how much the axle of the truck is able to support, there should be a sticker on your door. I am 6500lbs on the rear and I think 6k up front, and I have room to spare on each of these weights. Then you have tires. I dont think most passenger tires have a very high weight rating but dont know of what most are off the top of my head. My truck is 3650 per tire so they can support 7300lbs combined for each pair and I am well within that weight as well. With that said it's got to look pretty bad or you have to do something dumb to get pulled over and weighed. However you could be held liable if you were in an accident. Just throwing that out there for consideration.1 point

Our Mallard looks exactly like this on the inside, except it has a bunk above the main bed, rated 150lb max. We use the bunk to store extra stuff, like our luggage for the weekend.1 point

Jayco makes a good camper. We’ve been happy with ours. Fiberglass sides are much better in my opinion. Easier to clean, easier to repair, etc.1 point

I wasn't sure if you were referring to TTs or the brake controller, but if the latter, I can vouch for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3. It's a proportional controller so it sends increasing currents to the trailer the harder you brake. Mounts at just about any angle (doesn't need to be flat mounted), programmable voltage output for different weight loads, has menus for single axle/dual axle/tri-axle set-ups, all electric or electric-over-hydraulic systems, and a manual control. Been in my Ford F150 for at least 5-6 years and not a single glitch. https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=p-3+brakecontroller&furl=-pg-Brake_Controller&msclkid=34e277881f2315a084282d43e56deb51&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Search - Brake Controller&utm_term=tekonsha prodigy p3&utm_content=P-3 - Brake Control1 point

The wing would have been a replacement for the Whale. But it failed horribly in the storage department, it is not suited anymore for 2 up week long trips in the luggage department. It really blows now actually. So anything I get now would be in addition to the Whale.1 point

Started working on the zrx today and learned a new trick. Replaced the single valve springs with doubles and dropped in a set of bump sticks with a little more lift. All that without removing the head. Put 2’ of rope down the cylinder so I wouldn’t drop a valve and used a fancy spring compressor from a fella on the zrx forum. Still gotta adjust the lash, swap the ignition and wire in a new cdi unit.1 point

Got home after work, it was 6:30, 58 degrees. I had to take the bike out for a spin. Did a short 30 mile loop of nothing but twisties. Didn't have my stich at the house, so I wore my new leather suit. It was surprisingly comfortable. This bike is just insane. Gonna take some time to get used to how much easier it is to flick around compared to the FJR.1 point
