  1. Haha the passes were crazy lol total hooliganism. I was literally expecting cops at the end of 250 waiting for us with hand cuffs 🤣 To be honest there is no other way to do 250 I think without those passes. The group size and experience was perfect for this ride and pace. Hopefully one more of these before winter hits us. reminded me of old Mach retard rides. Paul and Jinu used to do this, pass and jinu like a shadow right behind. Same thing you and durk were doing today. At first I could see from behind skinny gear in head working like “should I ... should I not “ after few secs, ..... wild side switched on 😆

  2. I am always apprehensive about posting rides, but the last two have gone really well. I hope to see that trend continue and this forum start building momentum. To answer your mileage question... we just got down to the business of hauling ass. I passed more vehicles today than I probably have in one day around these parts...most of which happened leaned over in a corner. The Hyper is agile and fast, which lends itself to making space where space normally doesn't exist. I started to get greedy towards the end of my ride and, after a pass that I should have waited for, I decided to dial it back a click before I got into trouble. I knew I blew it as I started to roll on the throttle, but it was too late to change my mind and I gave it everything to slip back into my lane. It was a dumb mistake that I was fortunate enough to forgive myself for and carry on. I had zero expectations for today. I just wanted to get out and enjoy the opportunity to ride. I had not intended on moving as fast as we were, but everything felt right and you guys didn't seem to mind the pace. I got to know this bike pretty well on my WV trip with @Tpoppa and @Blitz. I am just running on the same mojo I found that weekend. I know all three of you can ride faster than I can. I appreciate you allowing me to take point and just route on the fly. I wish you had stayed with us, Nivin..but I understand why you were anxious. It was the first ride for me with @durk and I sure hope it wasn't the last. I had a great time with you guys and we should do it again before it gets too cold. Nice to know we can hit WV and back in a matter of hours. @Skinny guy, always a pleasure to hang out with you. I will catch you all another time.

  3. Home 470 miles. Thanks for reminding me Pauly that Ohio 250 is still a fun road to ride. I had a blast following you. I saw no wreckage but I did get damp near home. Glad you made it home safe. Nivin and Rick it was great to see you and ride with you again.

  6. Just curious: Do all of you who ride together have the ability to communicate with each other (Sena, Shoei, or some sort of app)? Or do you mostly rely on a prearranged plan?

  7. I think it is pretty well known around here that I carry a gun and will shoot anyone that tries to pair their Sena to mine.

  9. Looks like a residence inn. Nice. That’s usually our first choice when traveling. Getting a suite at the government rate is even better. 👍

  11. Home. 320 miles. New tires are grippy. Quote of the day... "I view laws as suggestions, but you don't believe in laws at all." Nice riding with you guys. Nivin, you blew it. We were in Hundred by 10:30, zoomed across WV-7 and heading up OH-556 by noon... and we rested in Hundred for thirty minutes. I missed a collision by minutes on 151, just south of 212. I don't know what happened but a cruiser was under a SUV and the bike operator was on the ground wrapped in blankets. First responders were already on the scene and directing traffic around the carnage. I hope he is ok, but it did not look good.

  13. Welcome! Well this is good to hear, because this forum group is 90% BS and 10% actual motorcycle talk! 😜 I have a 1998 Honda 1100 ACE Tourer and have had to learn to work on it myself, Tonik is the best and helped me out a ton. Also, check out Skidmark Garage, a CLEVELAND DYI garage. I’ve learned a ton there and replaced my RR and wiring. Tons of helpful and knowledgeable folks with 16+ work stations with all tools and equipment one would need to work on any bike. You can become a member or rent a station by the day.

  17. Not sure about the 650's but the 1100's were also proned to shity starter clutches. But that might not match your symptoms. My wife's previous bike kept having what I thought was low battery issues because would start with a jump. Ended up being the starter clutch was hanging up and a jump was giving it the extra juice it needed to get over the hang up.
