You came in pretty hot but now it seems like really you don't actually mind that he uses your driveway. You should probably give him a clicker to the door also; the last neighbor did.

@Tonik I think you have a really valid point. I think part of the issue is that with riders you either have novice riders or very experienced riders in the motorcycle community. I feel a lot of those in the middle experience range are lost to other life forces like kids, family, jobs etc. and fall out of riding. This is similar to my experience. Many I've been riding with are quite new to the sport and I found myself being a teacher without his own teachers. In all reality, I only have a season and a half of actually ride experience in the last 15 years. Before that I had a good 6-7 Ohio seasons under my belt. I found myself here looking for a more skilled set of riders with which to ride. The social media outlets weren't meeting my needs for exposure to more experienced riders. I found it here. I don't think you'll be able to cultivate a larger Rider base and grow more skilled riders without making the point of entry more accessible. A "mach retard" (by the way I love this term) pace definitely isn't going to do it. Count me in for what ever rides you got going and I'm more than willing to lead a few myself.

You don't have to blow up on him, but if he is an adult, he should expect an adult reaponse. If he is an adult, he will accept whatever answer you give him. It is YOUR driveway.

I'm not up on all the laws for this but if it were me, I'd be leery that the neighbor may try to claim an implied easement for use of your driveway that could even be pushed to the point of quit claiming the easement. Cementing the area in between would bolster his claim of an easement.

How did they "use" the garage? Do they have a key or a door opener? I would speak with them. I had to tell the people across our alley that our yard was not their kids playground when we moved in. You could edge your drive with flower pots and large rocks. Don't end up on an episode of neighbor's from hell....

Having seen the pics now, cementing the area between night also be a good idea. Could work well for everyone.
