  1. Proof? Please don't tell me, "because Obama and Cameron say so." The UN inspectors haven't concluded anything yet as far as I'm aware. The Syrian government says the rebels used chemical weapons. The rebels say it was the government. My personal stance, we should follow Israel's example:

  2. I am opposed to getting involved, but for different reasons. Assad using chemical weapons on crazy Arabs is far more effective than anything we could do. And make no mistake, the people he is gassing are no better than he is. I would hope Iraq, Afgan and Egypt have at least taught us that.

  3. i dont understand why we cant just sit back and let the other 2 assholes blow each other up and not worry about it unless some threat is made towards the US. Fuck this so called ally shit because they don't do a god damn thing for us half the time anyway. Or better yet, if they both can't get along blow the 2 fucking countries off the map and put up one giant ass parking lot. Fuck em all, I'm sick of this shit

  5. I'm opposed to involvement because we don't need to get involved in their civil war. (Unless involvment means nuking all of the Middle East) Also, if we do go in, it will be a never ending "peace-keeping" mission again. They won't be willing to do what is necessary to suceed. If they were willing to fully engage with air power, unrentless tomahawks and arty, loosen ROE/EOF, and persue over borders to prevent fleeing/hiding out, we could end this quickly with a significant show of violence of action. Hell a response like that could get countries to take us seriously again. The Middle East would hate us more, but who really gives a shit about what they think? Once they are out of oil, they will be ignored by the civilized world. But that won't happen. We'll dip our toe in the water and get stuck in the pool.

  18. I'm somewhat glad I'm no longer in the military at my age and place in life with respect to valuing liberty and smaller federal footprint in our Republic. For anyone with even half of a brain and wants to call themselves an American, to even think that our founding fathers and the colonists were extremists reveals a totally fucked up worldview that is simply beyond the pale and comprehension of normal people with a functioning mental capacity. I'm in with the conservatives, Christians, and anyone else who values the rule of law, the Constitution, and living as free men owing nothing to anyone and more importantly, the Fed's.

  19. I'm not thriled about 0bama's and Kerry's misguided uproar based on "morality" issues within the Syrian conflict with the alleged use of chemical weapons when the fucking rebels are telling children to behead civilians....to name just one of their atrocities against the civilian popluation. IMO, the key point to all of this for us is to not act stupidly because no matter who comes out on top, it won't be good for our agenda in the region and I'm even questioning that with respect to 0bama who is fucking dud with his anemic foreign policy.....and especially with Russia. We need to stay the fuck out of it, period, and let them kill each other off.

  25. I called and placed my deposit on a Grom about seven weeks ago at a semi-local Honda Power Dealer. "We've got a list of people who want to be called when the Groms come in, but no hard deposits yet. You get your choice of color, and the first one in the door is yours". Sweet. I called the salesman twice over that seven week period to see if he had heard anything, and emphasized on the second call that I wanted to receive a black Grom in the crate. "Why do you want it in the crate?". "Because I don't want one that the shop staff have been wheelying and doing stoppies on out behind the shop". "Okay". I started bouncing around here on Hondagrom.net and other forums on Thurs Aug 15 when there were reports of the bikes starting to arrive. I was anxious because this is the first new bike I've bought in 20 years, and because we were leaving very early morning on the 17th to go out of state on vacation. "When the bike comes in, we'll call you". Friday comes and goes, and no word from the dealer. I took the day off from work in order to get ready for vacation, and had a relaxed day. Saturday morning Aug 17th we're on the road two states away when my phone rings at 10am. Its my sales guy and he says (you guessed it...) "your bike is HERE!". I explained to him that we were on our way out of town for a week of vacation, and the earliest I can pick it up it Monday Aug 26. He confirms that its still in the crate, verbally confirms the date, and he even texts me a photo of the bike in the crate, back in the warehouse/ shop. I told him to put it in a corner in the shop, forget about it, and I'd be in on Monday 28th to get it. "Okay". I ask him when they came in. "They came in yesterday" (Friday, the day which I had nothing major going on). I ask him why he didn't call me, and he says "I was off yesterday. The other two buyers came and got theirs. Yours is the only one left". (Note: I THINK that the other two buyers must have seen them on Facebook or been on their "call list". I don't do Facebook, and didn't see that they had come in. On Tuesday afternoon I get a call from him. "We took it out of the crate. Do you still want it?". WHAT?!?! "Why did you do that?" "Sales manager told me to. We have some locals who want to see it, so we put it out on the floor. Do you still want it?". "No. I told you that I wanted it in the crate, you agreed, and I am the only one confident enough that I wanted it to actually put money down and wait". So he says "We're working with the regional Honda rep to get another black crated one in here for you". Huh? No dealer is going to have "extra Groms" sitting around. "Yeah, sorry". I went in yesterday (Mon 08/26) because I was in the area for work, and made sure that my deposit was refunded. I ask the sales mgr why nobody called me on Friday 16th when the bikes came in. "we just didn't think about it. Sorry". One person puts a hard deposit on a sought-after bike, the other two bikes in the shipment fly out the door the same day that they come in, and NOBODY in a Power Dealer dealership thinks to give the deposit guy a phone call? Amazing. Big dealership physically, but on the occasions that I've been in there, they have never been very busy. I figured that they probably sold "my bike" early last week to one of the locals who were so anxious to see one. Nope. Sold it Saturday the 26th to a buyer from Indiana. "we sold all three to out of state buyers". (They rec'd three in the shipment, two black and one red). Saved themselves one day (sold Sat, closed Sun, and I would have picked it up Mon). On the bright side, a buyer from Indiana just moved up one spot in the queue and will get the next Grom that this dealer receives. And I've still got $3500 in my pocket (figuratively).

  32. The extremist definition listed above does not in any way describe the colonists and founding fathers who were not supremists in their values and agenda to free themselves from an oppressive regime in England nor was anyone deprived of their civil rights because the outcome was completely the opposite. For someone to completely misconstrue the intent of the American Revolution completely reveals their utter ignorance and stupity.

  34. What about our people? There is a point where we should start putting ourselves first. We have huge money problems in this country that are going to continue to haunt us in ways we can not yet imagine. There are other countries besides us. With all the money Saudi Arabia has, why don't they jump in? The rest of the world hopes we will jump in so that we become even weaker economically. This is part of the financial attack that has been promised will happen to us. O'fuckhead is just helping it along. Sign up and go. Jump on over there and straighten up those Arabs. Send us a postcard. Just stop sending our troops into shit that isn't for our defense. It costs us in lives, money, future progress, friendships, and all sorts of other shit. There are too many other countries that can take care of this kind of crap. They just let us because our stupid ass government is willing to spend us into non-existence and they will come in and buy us up for pennies on the dollar. There's a point at which we draw the line, and I'm drawing it now. Let some of the rest of the world clean up some messes at their expense instead of ours. It's always our pockets the rest of the world has it's hands in. Where the fuck does it end? .

  35. even in cases where the country they founded, and in the country in which the original constitution that they drafted (albeit with revisions that don't deviate the Bill of Rights from its original intent) is still considered the supreme law of the land, you don't think it's fucked up? I never made a claim that extremism is always bad... i just don't think that the philosophies and ideals this country was founded on should be construed as extremist philosophies and extremis ideals. it doesn't make any sense.

  36. Been using it for years. It freaking rocks. You download all the maps to your phone, I have all of North America on mine...about 1.3 GB. Be warned, it won't download them to your SD card...so they will use your phones storage for that. Yes you can force your own routes. Here is what I do: Sit down at my desk and make the route on my computer on Google maps...then fire up the phone and recreate it on CoPilot. Yea you can do it on the phone first but it's easier having it on a large screen. If I am at home I HDMI my phone to the TV so I can see better. I usually put in extra stops to force most of the route...then drag and drop the route as needed to fine tune. Yes you can drag the route however you want. I got a bluetooth mouse to make that easier. But it isn't that bad to do really, I did my whole Ozark trip in my hotel each night....takes maybe 10 minutes a map. Its really smart...you drive part of the route and stop for lunch and turn it off....when you fire it back up it knows you did part of the trip and picks up where you left off. Set the voice to Google TTS if you want voice driven directons...their voices don't say the street names, Googles does. You will need power to your phone when you nav with it. It sucks battery, but that is true of any map/gps program. GPS uses lots of battery. Fair warning, you will download it and sit there and look at it and try and use it and cuss me out and call me a retard. It is very different than Google Nav...it takes some getting used to. But once you see it their way you will love it. Saved my ass many times when there is no data around...which is pretty often if you travel the backroads on a bike. I highly recommend it. That said, take a peek at Mapquest....it is online of course, they have Android and Iphone versions. And I heard on the internets they have offline/no data capabilities also. Have not looked into it but theirs is free I believe.

  37. Okay then, at what point SHOULD we intervene? do we allow another holocaust to happen? it's not an easy question, but I think this is a reasonable "red line" that has been drawn (and likely crossed) if this is something our country was going to be involved with.

  39. “Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.” ― Bob Marley
