  1. This is an excellent recommendation and should be implemented without a vote. The rider had intentions of getting in contact with you for information on the whole Buell thing. He might not need your help now or he may need a lot of it.
  2. I don't know what happened to cause the accident; I was riding up front because Udell couldn't get off the toilet. I suspect that the group got a ways in front of him and he was going fast into the curve from the longer straight leading up to it playing a little catch-up, it also didn't help that the curve was going down hill so he lost some ability to slow down. (I enter up hill and down hill curves differently because of this.) Rob was riding sweep, he almost got caught up in the carnage because both rider and bike were bounced back into the road by the guard rail. It was in a very dangerous place to happen with traffic coming up behind him around a blind down hill curve. I'm wasn't there, hopefully he can chime in to tell us his take on what happened so someone can learn from his accident or give me an idea on what we can do in groups to help prevent these types of accidents. I haven't had to do a pre ride talk in quite a while so I left out a lot of things I wish I would have said. I only talked to the two new guys that showed up and maybe I should have gotten everyone involved so they could have filled in what I missed. I do recall telling them that the ride would be taking a different pace once we got south of Millersburg and that is where the accident happened. I hope the extra hype of that along with the nerves attached to riding with a group for the first time didn't cause him to feel he needed to ride too fast.
  3. I have a perfectly good flashlight to use for starting races.

  5. Most health care professionals suggest that you refrain from behavior that would lead you to be susceptible to bullet holes.
  6. That sucks I was hoping for you that it was just a simple dislocation. I didn't get any good pictures from the damaged side. Has anyone told Kevin yet what you did to his old bike? Now for the pictures of the emt I didn't take these last two, the fat kid on the Kawasaki did

  12. No offense to the others that showed up. I'm trying to fuck with the fat kid on the Kawasaki who lurks here, comes out to ride and leaves early because he is a sissy that can’t ride more than 150 miles. We had a guest appearance from Jbctown who ride with us for 20 miles. I don't know if he does bike work for a living or just a hobby, I know he does car work but if I wreck a bike and want to keep it I will try to get him to do the bodywork. His bike has been down and it is beautiful.
  13. We were out there Saturday night, we left when the jet cars came out. You would have fit right in; once all the posers left it was a ride of the nicest people riding only Hondas
  14. I rode my motorcycle over 300 miles yesterday and didn't need my helmet all day. It's really stupid to wear one especially because I didn't encounter any evil people in their cars trying to kill me. I've been wasting my time wearing one since I have proof that I don't need one.
  15. Glad to see you are on the road to recovery. I hope you aren't discouraged and can make it out to ride with us again. The Buell is kind of messed up though at least the forks are. I can't believe you beat us home. I blame you for not showing up. I will need to see your excuse. Back off you little shit, she's mine all mine.
  16. You are a brutal punisher, that’s why we want you around. I don’t think anyone else wants to lead & I know the route so it will be the U.P. pace I guess. You better make it, I tried to push the start time to give it time to warm up for you. We could have left already.
  17. You should have a window of time this will be our first gas stop.
  18. I'm in 10:00 AM Tim meet you at the Marathon on 83/16 just west of Coshocton 11:20 ish. Right now because it is the first time for most of us how about the shorter 296 mile loop. I'm not certain of this we can decide in the morning.
  19. I may even give them a try sometime in the hopes of reducing the tire expense of riding a stupid 1K on the street. I understand you posted your mileage I was just reiterating how important that information is to others that might overlook its importance to grip being accessed.
  20. Very polarizing tires indeed but I have zero experience with them so I can't pass judgment on them. I am used to the theory of you get what you pay for but I also know that sometimes you are just paying for a name. I am currently getting 1,500 to 1,800 miles out of a rear tire on the street without ever doing a burnout so your experience of getting 5K out of a tire might not translate. I'm sure that the Shinkos are wonderful tires when applied to the appropriate riding style and am glad you have found a tire that works for you. As a matter of endorsing them for others to use it becomes more difficult because riding styles differ so greatly. The grip might be adequate for someone that gets 5K out of a tire maybe not so much for someone that gets 2K.
  21. Yes I do as a matter of fact. The last time I rode it was on your ride that I had to leave early from because of stone pain. I'm going to try it again. Here is another route that you guys could ride if I don't make it. It's 69 miles longer but has a couple of my favorites. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&daddr=40.55418,-81.91735+to:OH-78+W%2FOH-83+N+to:OH-78+E%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:39.6652131,-81.2501509+to:OH-260+S+to:Broadway+St+to:OH-7+N%2F5th+Ave+to:OH-255+W+to:OH-800+N+to:US-250+W+to:US-250+W%2FDover+Rd+to:OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&hl=en&sll=41.314343,-82.020793&sspn=0.00109,0.002411&geocode=FQdodgIdL3Yc-w%3BFcTOagIdWgoe-ynN2lfNrG03iDEYbXf-D6mAGg%3BFfzLXQIdsvog-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFT0-XQIdmjgo-ykZfuQ9syA2iDEWqb68jYBHzw%3BFb6uWwIduuUo-w%3BFQwPWwIdeg8r-w%3BFUqYXAIdGGAt-w%3BFWYbXgIdZmUq-w%3BFRh4aAIduBMn-w%3BFQhOawIdiA0k-w%3BFQkWbgIddC4e-w%3BFQZodgIdinYc-w&mra=ls&via=1,4&t=m&z=8
  22. As close to 300 as I could find I have a project that has to be done by Monday, if I can get it finished by Saturday afternoon I want to get out to ride, the route doesn't matter. This will be my first ride this year as well. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=OH-83+N%2FAvon+Belden+Rd%2FWooster-Avon+Lake+Rd&daddr=40.55289,-81.91742+to:OH-78+W%2FOH-83+N+to:OH-555+N%2FOH-78+W%2FOH-78+Scenic+W+to:Moxahala+Ave+to:Zane+St+to:OH-666+N%2FN+River+Rd+to:W+9th+St+to:40.33537,-82.0067459+to:OH-754+N+to:W+Main+St+to:OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&hl=en&sll=41.312113,-82.019763&sspn=0.00872,0.01929&geocode=FQZodgIdaHYc-w%3BFbrJagIdFAoe-ynnnMvnrG03iDERaNdSwN8hPQ%3BFfzLXQIdsvog-w%3BFcoYXAIdUxcd-w%3BFUD9YAId_rIc-w%3BFQSOYQIdzsQc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFQp4ZwIdJ60c-yndK5CZDZ03iDFgN9Fbdvi81g%3BFQ5cawIdunQc-w%3BFYz2awIdUPAd-w%3BFQZodgIdhXYc-w&mra=ls&via=1,8&t=m&z=8
  23. Now that I am being ignored I will have to insist that no one quote me lest they be labeled a troll.
