  3. I have since upgraded to leathers LOL! But I still use a kevlar type jean to commute in. The draggin jeans are sewn with kevlar thread and are pretty strong. I also still use a set of textile pants/jacket when its cold out.
  4. I am looking to make a 72 hour car kit and hide it under a fake floor in my hatch back anyone have anything like this? I cracked the cheepo wood that was in my car and it is a pain to get out with it broke. I was gonna put new wood and recover it anyway. So I figured I would one up it and make a box about 4 inches high with compartments to hold my 72 hr kit, then hide it under the recovered factory floor piece. I will post pics when I start work on it.

    Water

I keep around 50 gallons of bottle/jug water in the basement. I am looking into a filter of some type to use on other water sources. I have a rain catch i use for my garden that holds i think 30 gals. I also keep a gallon or two in each car we have for emergency.
  6. For anyone one wondering how kevlar jeans do in a crash, I have first hand experience. I totaled out my bandit with a set of dragon jeans on, a joe rocket textile jacket, rocket leather gloves, and a hjc helmet, with a pair of timberland work boots. The jeans did there job, I superman flew over the bars on a high side. And slid around 30-40 feet down the road. The jeans held up fine still have them, the helmet was scuffed pretty bad and the visor started to come off. the jacket also did it's job but was thrashed. walked away with not a inch of road rash. Now internal injuries are another story....
