  1. I'll be riding dirty 20 & 21
  2. Can't embed this video http://www.cc.com/video-clips/2nmzjn/key-and-peele-ancestry-website
  3. Not at all Dan. I'm very open to opposing ideas. I value an educated debate. I just don't value alarmism, fear mongering, or clinging to either party like they give a fuck about any of us. They both manipulate and misdirect to protect their power and vast fortunes. Like I've said 100 times, I have far too much self respect to call myself either a Democrat or a Republican.
  4. When you've convinced yourself that you are correct, it becomes increasingly easy to not value opposing opinions or the people they belong to.
  5. That is accurate based on my FB feed.
  6. I finally understand When someone disagrees with you about anything ever, immediately call them a racist. This is especially encouraged when race is not the issue. Don't forget that you are far too tolerant to be bothered with trying to understand an opposing point of view. Developing an informed opinion is not required. They're probably just a racist anyway. Congratulate yourself for outing the racist on social media (for example, see the entire state of California). If your bravery is not immediately recognized refer to yourself as a social justice warrior. This will produce the desired effect. Blame Republicans while patting yourself on the back for occupying moral high ground. Remember, you know what is best for everyone.
  7. It depends how much on road vs off road capability you want. Few, if any bikes are great at both. I want a bike that corners well on the road but not too heavy for unpaved. Bikes like the F700GS and CB500x make sense for me, but that answer is different for everyone.

  9. Look for a for sale thread in April when something new catches my eye
  10. It came with a total of three exhausts. The one mounted is a V&H Competition exhaust. It isn't crazy loud, but I'm probably going to put in the "quiet" baffle. It also has a Power Commander and a custom tune. I'd guess it makes about 120 RWHP. Steering is obviously heavy compared to what I normally ride. But it is planted and stable in corners. It's more entertaining than that the hard-part-scraping V Star that I briefly owned last summer.
  11. It's not a mod I would have chosen myself. Compared to ape hangers & bedazzled, bejeweled cruisers with pointy chrome bits, I've seen some harleys with way stupider shit.
  12. Oh, and it has this because bling I guess?!?
  13. The previous owner told me it had a warped front brake rotor. It doesn't. What he thought was a warped rotor is actually play in the steering stem, which can be felt under braking, and over bumps. I thought torquing the steering stem nut would fix it. Upon doing some research, I found that this is a common issue on several 2002-2008 HD models. They actually have a kit to fix it. It replaces an aluminum part in the steering stem (wears over time) with a steel part. Apparently, it's a $150-200 fix at the dealer, but HD has done it for free as a goodwill repair in some cases. I'm dropping it off at a chrome castle on Thursday.
  14. Exactly. And these are often modified with lowering kits and forward pegs which completely defeat the purpose of this model. The riding position is surprisingly good. It handles excellent by cruiser standards, which is still below anything with actual sporting intentions.
  15. 2006 Street Rod. I was sort of looking for one of these in the spring. I was no longer looking, then this one fell in my lap pretty cheap. Best thing about it is the riding position, it's really close to a Street Triple. More power & bigger fuel tank than a standard V Rod. 40 degree lean angle, brembo brakes, etc. It needs some minor work. I'll most likely ride it for a few months then flip it in the spring.
  16. No. I have 3 bikes at the moment.
  17. Cb500x is a really good road bike. It corners really well and will cruise at 85 all day. In stock form, it doesn't have all that much ground clearance. But, I've ridden some pretty sketchy terrain and haven't gotten it stuck yet. I wouldn't want anything heavier for off road riding. Rally raid parts can turn it into a really capable adventure bike.
  18. Off Bagely, behind the drive in.
  19. I've seen you ride by on your Duc(s). I think you live a mile or 2 from me.
  20. 4 years is the 2nd longest I have ever owned a motorcycle.
  21. If only that were true. Might be getting another one tonight.
  22. The big 1237cc V4 quite entertaining. Usually, any gear is just fine. (Stock image, not from my actual bike) hmmm, image not working.
  23. I've honestly gotten a little bored with street riding. Lately, I've been mostly riding my CB on unpaved stuff. But, something new in the garage always gets my blood pumping again. The new FZ1 and 765 Street Triple are on the list, but I intend to ride plenty before I buy.
