  1. It doesn't seem to need direct sunlight. As long as there's daylight or your in a lighted room it's pretty much always charging. Solar is listed as the backup charging method as it's not as fast as an outlet.
  2. A full charge from the sun would take 3-4 days (or plugged in overnight). That should be enough power to charge a phons at least 4 times. Seems like it will keep up with my phone.
  3. This might come in really handy for those that like to camp and ride.
  4. When I was in HS we could pretty much count on a bomb threat during finals. It was typically some stoner just trying to get out of a test. No one ever thought there was actually a threat. Times have changed.
  5. AKs? I've never seen law enforcement use that particular weapon,
  6. Can you pick red states or blue states?
  7. I might be interested Dan. Edit: I'll buy it.
  8. I'm still deciding which bike to take. Both are ready.
  9. Interesting turn of events. Good I guess? I'd kill some Crown with you if I was closer.
  10. Not worth it man. I seriously doubt the doc will understand the demands that distance riding puts on your body. I had a similar conversation with my Dr. 2 seasons ago when dealing with a nerve issue in my neck. What would you do if halfway through the ride you hit a bad bump or something else that irritates it? It could be very uncomfortable limping it home.
  11. If you're medium, I am very interested in seeing fast.
  12. Uh oh. We'll find you some local talent. Possibly from Craig's List.
  13. If it's Sunday, I may show up on the CB500X and see if it can hang onto the back of the fast group.
  14. I pretty much stopped giving a damn about the opinions of anyone other than my closest family & friends sometime around 1988
  15. Go sit on a Kawasaki Versys 650. Tall guy friendly, beginner friendly (you won't outgrow it anytime soon...if ever), and one of the most versatile bikes ever made.
  16. The cbr500r & CBR650 are good choices, but not a cbr600rr, which is a full spec race replica.
  17. Horsepower is more important than engine size. A Ninja 650 twin is a good choice for a first bike. A 600cc inline 4 sportbike is not meant for new riders.
  18. Neither a 1000 nor 600cc sportbike is a good choice for a first bike. It's the equivalent of a Ferrari for a first car. Cbr500r, Ninja 650, or Fz6r are much better choices for a first sporty motorcycle.
  19. Sounds like a communication/strategic/decision maker position. A role like that should pay accordingly. I recently turned down something similar (but in software). I really wanted the job, but the commute would have been difficult to manage with my kids.
