  1. Hey neighbor. North Ridgeville here. Welcome to this crazy forum.
  2. Sorry you lost another Tony. Death is random but it seems that random is really freaky sometimes. Hang in there my friend.

7:30 pm Tomorrow at Mikes, 130 Front street in Berea. Just puttin' this out there. I will be there. Anybody else?
  4. Colorado is a beautiful place & the skiing is much better than Ohio. I lived there for a couple winters in the 80s. One at Vail & one at Crested Butte back when I was a professional snowmaker. I'm good with Ohio for now though.

Either the Tap House or Mikes in Berea would be great with me. Whatever y'all decide is OK. If it's skanky I'm out because Holly wants to attend and she is adverse to skank.
  6. I'm real sorry for the loss of your friends Tony. In my 57 years I've lost only one to suicide & that was 35 years ago. Still saddens me when I think about her. I am with you on the optimism. I draw a parallel between motorcycle riding & life in general. The state of negativity that people get to by focusing on what they perceive as bad is very similar to target fixation while riding. Keep focusing on the bad & you crash, focus on the good & you get through the corner unscathed. Then there's that chemical imbalance in the brain thing known as clinical depression. I went through this (self assessment, not diagnosed by professionals) when I was 21 & but by the grace of the universe I started long distance running & readjusted my brain chemistry. Things aren't so dire now, but Thanks Pauly for reminding me of what I have to get back to. Been on the elliptical but can't wait till spring. I'll be back out on the Cannondale when the weather breaks (want but don't need new wheels). Furthermore; I think that fast motorbike rides through the twisties helps my mental state immensely.

I count 4 currently (if you're going to a wedding) not including the 5 noncommittals. If this number stands, reservations would not be needed.

Thanks Mike. I was just going to wait until this Friday to see about how many to expect, then give them a call. If you don't mind stopping in that would be great.

Is 7:30 pm on Saturday good for all on the after party at the Tap House in Berea? At last count we had three or so with interest. Hopefully there will be more.

Do you think there's a snowballs chance in hell that we could get a semi-accurate number here? If so I'd be willing to make the call. If not, we'll probably just show up.

It looks like a good place. Do you think we should just show up, or call ahead?

Damn! Those money grubbin' scumbags. I rode there once & parked for free that winter we didn't have.

Is this place now called Grindstone Tap House, located at 826 Front St. In Berea?

Motorcycle parking is free (for you folks coming up from Columbus). Where's the party?
  15. Happily married for 32 years. Joint everything, plus she gives me a nice allowance. So far so good.

I'll be going to the show just to see if there are any motorbikes I can't live without. Most likely at the afterparty too. Any Ideas for a venue? Good company, but that place in Berea the last couple years just sucks.

Turn the other cheek. Jesus Christ this is amusing.
  18. Yep. Even though there were plenty of getting ready for Xmas chores to be done, resistance to riding was futile. I got out for an hour today.
  19. Thanks for the numbers Tony. 99.9% is a bullshit number 99.9% of the time someone uses it. Prez seems to think it sounds better than 75% to 85% .
  20. What kind of corner carving did you have in mind? If I had your criteria I would pick a pure sportbike. Any 600, 675, 750, 959, 1000, 1299 (leaning towards 1000 or 750) would fit the bill. That's just me though. I'd pick the monster if I had to choose between your proposed two. Good luck in deciding.
