  1. How low will that dyno read? J/k man, we know it's got more than my 500! How much does that FZR weigh again, though?

    Polar Bear Run

Doesn't even come close to counting...
  3. How are those bitches doing in the shitty Ohio weather? I was always curious about that. The Camaro doesn't come out when salt is even a threat, as tires are not the traction issue then, so I wouldn't know! I'm having troubles finding anything decent for it now. I guess I need to find me some 17's or bigger. I'd love to have a set of what ever the new Camaro's have on them that looks similar to the Iroc or Z-28 wheels of the mid 80's!
  4. THAT is what the whole Firestone - Ford Explorer issue was all about. Ford Spec'd a lesser tire than should have been used, with the inflation pressures they recommended. Use a weaker tire, lower the inflation, sidewalls are weaker, you can figure out the rest..... I have a feeling that the tires on that Ram are pretty close to the same, if not exact, seeing the (relatively) low numbers of them out there. I don't think Goodyear would make that number of tires to a lower spec just for Dodge, then sell a better aftermarket version of the same one. A higher volume tire, they do it all the time. I agree with Todd here, I don't think I'd put the money into another set. On that truck I would go with the Nokian, or fork over the coin ($1000-ish) for the Silent Armor's that are still only rated for 50k (around $400 more for same or less tread life then the Nokians.) I see some general's from our other supplier, but they don't look as good as the nokians.
  5. Not going to argue! And once you hear it, it sticks... Ugh.....
  6. WHat are you running on the car? The I3's? I really liked those, but our dist said they aren't carrying them anymore. They're still on Nokian's page though. I wonder if this has anything to od with the HUGE tax that is being put on tires imported from China, as that's where the i3's are made. On my cages I'm running Goodyear Tripletreads. Can't say a bad thing about them, other than cost. They ARE supposed to last 80k+ miles though. Ugh, I feel bad for ya there! Although, now that I look, they've come down in price, by A LOT! The Wrangler SR-A's, which I think were OE on those are around $140 each now. We can get the Nokian Vatiiva H/T's for a few $ less, and they're rated for 65k instead of 50 for the goodyears. If money is not an issue, the Wrangler Silent Armor's are around $225 each! Prices are just the tires, no tax, mount and balance, stems, etc....
  7. OP, is that a socket 939, or AM2 mobo?
  8. I'm way down on the amount of old crap I have sitting around (other than myself that is!) I have a P3-450 or 500 running in the closet though, as my email server. It does nothing else, as I don't think it could handle it! I need to get pop email running on windows home serverm then I'd forget all about that old machine! Any ideas? It IS server 2k3 under the hood, and I have done some "undocumented" things, that it's just not supposed to do...
  9. Now, if only we could get yourself to join in on that....
  10. I've hear those are the shiznit! I've never used them though. In fact, I haven't done much wall fishing at all, thankfully!
  11. Is this just for bikes, or will cars be running as well? I'd love to get some idea of where the Camaro is in it's current form, that is IF I get the trans fixed again. If not, I'll have to talk to ya about it for some other time, no biggie!
  12. Yoko's are good. Especially the Goelanders. For light trucks (and SUV's) we sell a lot of Nokian Vatiiva's. They do really well for all around, A/T use. The price is good as well. Winter traction is really good, it seems the Finn's know a thing or two about snow and ice driving?
  13. Sprint works well for me, and has for about the past 9 or 10 years. Aprint used to be the only carrier that would work at the shop, through the metal walls. Now, pretty much all work, somewhat in there. The only place my phone drops signal at work is right where I work! If I move to the middle of the shop, I'm ok! Maybe the electrical panel is interfering somehow? EMI maybe? I'm possibly going to get a new phone with them soon, depending on what kind of dealing they'll do with me on a Hero.
  14. I'm not sure on the nitrous stuff. I would think that if you had the bottle removed, you could not USE the system, and be within the law. If it passes, that one will probably be fought out by lawyers, for sure. In comparison to robbery, if you have a gun while attempting, or committing a robery, yes you would be guilty. It SOUNDS like they're intending it to be the same deal with nitrous and street racing, but who knows until it's passed and the lawyers challenge it, unfortunately.
  15. I like SOME Kumho's. Some of them that I've had on the Camaro are WAYY slick, get next to zero dry traction. I know some of their sport compact sized tires, such as what Jagz is prolly talking about, seem to be purdy goood. I'm pretty sure these new ones that I mentioned for Cheech will bee good as well, without the shipping.

    Polar Bear Run

Woohoo! Looks like a balmy 28 degrees being forecasted for Fri with a 10% chance of snow. What worries me is the snow coming in the next couple days being cleared..
  17. Can't take a joke today? It's ok, I'm having a not-so-good day, too....
  18. It's been YEARS since I've had that stuff!
  19. Again, who? That wasn't a serious question. DUH!
  20. Or, we can get something more basic, if you don't need a performance tire.
  21. Check these out, rated for 50k, all season, more performance oriented, could do them at less than $400. They're made by Kelly/Dunlop/Goodyear. http://www.fiercetires.com/tires/instinct-vr/index.html
  22. Anywhere from about $45 each, all the way up to about $145! There are so many options in that size. The tires that I recommend are in the range of $70 - 90 each, plus mount and balance. It all depends on the type of driving you do, and what you expect from the tires. I'f you're an aggressive driver, it's the ones that I recommend for it. Otherwise, there are some decent tires that are cheaper. Treadwear rating on several of them is in the 60-70k minle range.
