  1. For you and me, yah, that's messed up.. ..For a raw beginner, who has few mechanical skills and wont be doing track days, with around 65hp and a flat torque curve, the classic UJM is ok for a starter bike.
  2. Yoshii -- How about this one? If you can get to Lexington, a Nighthawk is a reasonable starter bike. If the bike is as in the photos - grab it. Price is fair, and miles is good. Do it! https://lexington.craigslist.org/mcy/6175626150.html
  3. I have been using ....Hearos Ultimate Softness Series foam plus for years. NRR32 and all day comfortable. Tried plenty of others but keep coming back to these. Available near everywhere and cheap...
  4. Chances are on a 1500 dollar bike, there is something that needs fixing. Can you deal with that?
  5. Suh - weeet Zrx! Big Kudos to you dude!
  6. LBTS GLWS? Large boobs to suck - great lover wild sex?
  7. Cant fully see what you got going on there, but looks like you got a 90 degree connection. I might be tempted to find another battery lug and do a good crimp/solder and get some red heat shrinking around it so it is just a straight on connector. Also go looking for a cleaner fitting battery lug cover. - Plenty of different style out there.
  8. Career moves are always tough stuff, I have had to work those out myself. I dont have the answer, but suggest look at some questions.. - Is your present company in a growth industry or pulling back? - You mentioned layoffs, why is that going on when the economy is booming? - Where do you think the present company will be in 5 years? - Are you bored stiff or disgusted with you present job. For the beer job.. - Craft beers industry is booming and in demand, ask the owner what are your 2 year and 5 year plans? - Is he planning to build the biz then sell out, or is he wanting to stay for the long haul? - For a fact, in a smaller company, you have to wear many more hats and be flexible. Is that something you can stomach? - Ask the owner, what would your plans for me be if I join your company? - Ask what is you biggest problem that you face today for the company? - If you dont go to the beer job, will you be kicking yourself in a year? Dunno what to add, but sit down and add more questions like this, maybe bounce it of your wife or good friend. I'm in my present job for 2 1/2 years, but prior that, I had 4 jobs that were flat out stinkers. None of those turned out to be like what the interview indicated....... Best of luck CSC.
  9. Thanks for the vid Doc.. Damn I gotta try out one of those FJs...

  11. Been using the Honda type 2 coolant in bikes a looong time.. Honda Blue.... no issues... $14.99 a gallon at the Honda car dealer. Ok really...do you guys do a flush out before a coolant refresh?
  12. I'm def have a heart for the 5th gens with the gear driven cams. (I hate Honda cam chain engines) My next ideas for crazyness is mbe grab an 8th gen, and stuff a 5th gen engine in it.
  13. I suppose I'm just used to it. In 3 - 4 ish hours, I can pretty much strip it all the way down to frame and motor.
  14. Caught a severe case of the "while I'm at its." I was only going to change front brake pads, then noticed a seal leak in the forks, so wheel off, forks out. Then check steering stem and it felt slightly rought, ok, stem out, new bearings on order. Then while I at it, check the air filter.. well shit, may as well do the pair valve plates while I can get at it and maybe change out the coolant and mbe..... Aw crap (fuck - did it again..)
  15. The old joke on Lucas is > Joe Lucas says don't ride at night.
