No power, not sure if that means battery / electrical, or engine transmission related.

Work travel can be a pain. Making sure you get to the airport on time, make sure the flight did not change gates, and if there is a connecting flight, finding the next gate. My friends hear that I am flying all over to places like LA, Denver and Dallas and think I have the coolest job. When traveling for work, I am not a tourist. All the cities look the same from the airport, to the customer, hotel room and back to the airport. Only one work trip I got to be a tourist. In Salt Lake City, I finished the task at hand about 2 PM. I took a drive to Ogden Utah to go to the Browning firearm museum. That was the best work trip to date, next would be an LA trip, I got drive Holland Drive and then from Malibu to LAX on the Pacific Coast highway.

My wife's cousin, Bobby Reuse, is in his first ever NASCAR Nationwide race today.at Road America. He is driving the #74 Chevy Camaro. The race started at 3 or so, due to the rain delay. Almost halfway through the race and Bobby is in 28th place, one lap down.

The new accessory section in the Harley catalog will now be called "Muted Eagle"

I try to stay on eastern time when traveling. then if you add in any layovers or connecting flights, just tryingto figure out how long a trip actually takes can be tricky.

Not westside, the one local to me shop I deal with charges $35 to mount and balance tires if they are off the bike and you did not buy the tires from them. If you buy the tires from the shop, they will mount them for free, on or off the bike. There may be a few exceptions on the type of bike for the free mounting.

Sport bikes are bad and should be banned, think of the children.... I can see how you do not realize how fast you are going to a point, like maybe 80 in a 55. However, when you are in 5th gear, bouncing off the rev limiter, my first thought would be, "hey, maybe i am going a little above the speed limit"

Assuming the company has been in contact with you over 18 months, what excuses have been given as to why the repair is not completed? I just finished a big project ( at least me) at my house. What started out a simple slider door upgrade, turned into a new roof, replacing rotting wood around the door and part of the floor replacement. Had to remove most off the siding off the back of the house. My original slider door installer did not seal anything around the door frame. Then, a slight roof leak allowed water to get around the door and rotted out the door frame and the floor. I did the wood repair my self over 3 weekends.

Looking into AR lowers for a range toy and to build my own AR. Email from AIM Surplus has these lowers for $39 (when they are in stock) they are sold out at the moment. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1ANSL&utm_source=AIM+Surplus+Main+List&utm_campaign=90320e3c50-06132015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6870497a6a-90320e3c50-18849853 https://4b1e874935ea5d25a97e-f099844d0e354c7ab50c55a966be6870.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/product/resized/F1ANSL1.jpg Looks like the prices are coming back down for AR parts. Thoughts on this brand?

Finishing up on the slider door / rotted wood project. Just got all the new non-rotted wood installed. Monday is wrap the back wall of the house with tyvek, then re-install the siding. When that is done, go back to working on the Durango brake line project. I replaced one brake, then another one blew out when bleeding the brakes. Oh, and have beer at some point on Monday.

Link and full article below, but here is the highlight from the article : "Harley-Davidson told the paper Zien’s warranty is still valid, but the claim he filed had to be denied because the bike was not made to handle wind resistance from multiple flags at highway speeds. “The issue isn’t that the flags are heavy,” Harley spokeswoman Maripat Blankenheim told the Journal-Sentinel, “but they provide terrific drag on the engine and the transmission, especially when the bike is at highway speeds.” http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/05/22/biker-claims-old-glory-wind-resistance/ A hog-riding former lawmaker from Wisconsin claims that Harley-Davidson voided his motorcycle's repair warranty because of the patriotic flags he let fly from the back of his chopper. However, Harley-Davidson says the warranty is still in effect and just his warranty claim has been denied. David Zien, who served in the State Senate from 1993 to 2006, said he was told by the motorcycle behemoth it would not honor the warranty after the clutch and transmission failed on a recent ride to Dallas, claiming that that the American flag-- as well as other banners-- caused unneeded wind resistance, according to theJournal Sentinel of Milwaukee. “All they said was, because I fly flags on the bike, there’s no warranty on the powertrain,” Zien told the newspaper. Harley-Davidson told the paper Zien’s warranty is still valid, but the claim he filed had to be denied because the bike was not made to handle wind resistance from multiple flags at highway speeds. “The issue isn’t that the flags are heavy,” Harley spokeswoman Maripat Blankenheim told the Journal-Sentinel, “but they provide terrific drag on the engine and the transmission, especially when the bike is at highway speeds.” She added that the flag mounts that Zien used were not Harley products. “When you alter a motorcycle with non-compliant products, that does impact your ability to make a warranty claim," she said. Zien is an avid biker who has been riding since the 1970s and has always done so with multiple flags on his bike. His 1991 Harley is on display at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame in South Dakota. He currently has seven flags flying from his bike including the Stars and Stripes as well as an NRA flag. “Ain’t nobody gonna stop our flags, not even Harley-Davidson corporate,” Zien told the paper.

My 1982 GS 850 has a sight glass. My garage floor is level. When checking the oil, I squat down next to the bike on the right side, grab the front brake, stand the bike straight up, ( the side stand is on the left side ) while crouching down looking at the oil level in the sight glass. Engine cold. My biggest concern is not having the bike fall over on top of me, if i pull it over too much to the right side.

Bad, I will have to see the delay time from when the engine is of, to the pressing the gas pedal and the car moves forward. For example, when stopped at a traffic light and if you had to take off due to somebodynot stopping behind you or any other reason.

congrats to you two!

I have a rental car, 2014, Chevy Malibu. The car has this "auto stop" feature that turns off the engine at traffic lights. Kind of annoying when you are not ready for it.

this news kinda just jumps right over the "46 and 2" concept. Here a neat video of this song, i think it might be a repost, but the song still rocks:

Bad, you could probably make a beam or a plank to connect the two dollies together. Then add a "bump out" pad on the sides of the plank for the center stand. The only issue then would be the rear tire would be above the "valley" for the rear tire. Plus you would probably want to add an eye or two for tie downs to hold the bike to the rolling dollie.

I don't think I would plug that one. If it is a staple, does that indicate there are 2 holes that close together? From the picture, the one end in the tread might not have made it all the way through. A shop I use is called Dougherty's Motorcycle repair, located in Oakwood. It is located right off 271 and Broadway / Forbes. (440) 439-8688, ask for Perry.

As stated before, I can see both sides of this. If all plates are scanned, could be helpful for finding stolen cars or warrants. A motorcycle endorsement is needed to operate a motorcycle, so I can see reason for the stop. As my in-laws get older, I can see them getting to a point eventually were they would not drive, but may own a car. They would own a car and I would drive them around for shopping and appointments. In a car, it might be easier to see that a newer car driven by a 40 year old is not the 80 plus year old the car is registered to. Maybe I would be pulled over sooner due to the LEO seeing a younger person in the car, thinking it was stolen, but not reported?

ZX, until i can train my ear, I will leave this thing "all stock" for a while. Then I can alter it or get a complete new one. I am sure i can get whatever tone needs to be out of the amp.
