Very nice car, I just got a 09 Impreza and I love it! Welcome to CR.

I'm liking the 240sx a lot more now that I've actually looked into it. I don't need a 10 second car, hell high 11's would still be fast enough for me now. This is more of a learning project and the fact that there is a lot of info and cheap parts make it nice.

They make mounts for every engine to be swaped into the 240.

 

Rb/CA/SR/LSX/302/1jz/2jz/rotary. These all can be store bought fabbed up engine/tranny mounts.

 

Soooo... Any suggestions on the ones above. The Rb, CA and SR are all Nissan engines correct. The SR20 seems pretty popular there are a shit load of articals out there and I've only searched for like 15 minutes.

Yeah, I have a dakota now. It's seen better days. A V6 with 220,XXX miles and original everything other then battery, plugs and water pump. Perfect time for a sawp.

I've been reading all the build threads and really itching to get back into modding cars and get my hands dirty again. My GTP is done and I want to keep the Impreza stock as DD. I've only ever done bolt on mods before (well a cam but I had help) but I'd really like to do a build of some sort. To be honest I don't have a wide range of knowledge on motors other then those I've worked on or owned so I’m not too sure where to begin. What are some good platforms to being with? What I’m looking for is…

 

- Something easy to work on

- Something with lots of aftermarket support

- RWD!

- Would like to make around 400whp

- And cheap to buy upfront.

 

I'm sure Mustangs or Camaros fit the bill, but anything else? Just something that I can learn from, it doesn’t have to be the fastest thing on the road but a solid car that’s fun to drive and with decent power. So when I do get the $$$ for something nice I’ll now how to make a solid 800WHP!

Actually there are no more food stamps, they pay out like a debit card now. Or at least they did years ago when I was living at home. I had to pay my moms drung man in cash/ food stamps before. It shouldn't be curency or a way to enable people. Wailfair should be there to assist you. If you need help, you should get help. But if you can't get off your ass and help your self its not the government/ tax payers job to support your sorry ass. i think it's a good tool, but like anything else it has to be used properly.
