  1. I'm going to try MX bars on the SV with the GSXR front end. I've got an extra upper triple to drill, but am looking for a set of fat bars (1-1/8") and set of bolt-on rubber mounts for the experiment. Research shows that the ProTaper Woods Low bars work well, and Renthal has the bolt-on mounts. Protaper has sets of rigid mounts, but would really like the type that uses the OEM rubber cones for a little vibe damping. Got some, let me know. I've got a bunch of bike stuff in the garage that I need to post up here, so figuring others may, also. TIA
  2. No deposit? I'm not holding anything...
  3. No idea as I haven't used them, but I can state for a fact that I will NEVERRRRRR again use the Harbor Freight version. Boiled a battery. *&(*$#$$#(*!!!!!
  4. Anyone recognize the font of the numeral on the number plate ("4")?
  5. An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle!

  7. Adjust it per the owners manual, usually 1-1.5" at a particular point on the chain (typically along the bottom part of the loop, about halfway between the front and rear sprockets).
  8. I'm envious. I've always loved the ZX7s. I agonized for weeks between a 93 ZX7 and the 93 GSXR750. This was "back in '93", BTW. Ended up buying the Suzuki in the royal purple color. It would still be a tough choice between the two today...
  9. Congratulations! "Half price for customers on bikes" promos? Motorcycle Mondays Sportbike Saturdays
  10. Glad he's okay. THATS funny. Didn't seem to phase him. Bang! Down! Hop up and keep going. Very cool. So nonchalant.
  11. Sell it to Hoblick. I wanna find out what the "bob" is that he's throwing into the deal.
  12. Thanks again. I've had it about 10-12 years. I covered the plate because it goes out on the interwebz, and you never know where it'll end up nor who will see it. In truth, someone could find me easily enough, but I don't want someone to see it on the web, decide it should be theirs, then run the tag number to find out where it might be "living". I don't want to make it easier for them than it needs to be. Engine-wise, its a 250 "v-twin" 2-stroke, thus the small silencers. RC is correct about the expansion chambers. Flat black, so hard to see. The decals are all under clearcoat. The bike is the NSR250 mentioned in my sig. Its a MC21 with a single-sided swingarm from an MC28 model transplanted onto it. Kick-start only, oil injected. Its been Gap-christened, and I rode it from Springboro to Portsmouth and back one day. Great little bike. Stoked to get it back out on the road.
  13. Great tires. KTM ran these for their Mid O track days (well, at least ours). They held up amazingly well all day.
  14. Yeah, not sure what happened there. Only posted once (or so I thought). Mods can delete one, if they'd like.
  15. Thanks all. No, I brought it over myself.
  16. Movie "Death of a President". Haven't seen it.
  17. Son has no interest. $925. Stock green bodywork. Black is included, and is aftermarket (tried to make it "his"). New OEM carb. Runs great. IIRC, its a 2003 or 2004.
  18. This one has been in mothballs for a couple of years. For some reason the key is stuck in the fuel cap, so waiting on another one. Otherwise, assuming it will still run, she's done. For now. Winter will see a tear down and clean up. For reference, this is "before":
  19. Linkie no workie, and I'm too lazy to go to Youtube and find it. A momentary joke (again, didn't see the clip) is much different in my mind, than taking the time to write a book or actually produce a movie about it. I've stayed out of the political discussions here on OR for awhile, as I decided that thats not why I'm here, and its made it all much more enjoyable for me. I inadvertently stepped back in. I'm not going to convince you, you're not gonna convince me. Congratulations on your post whore status.
  20. It was referenced more to illustrate that the Obama (capitalized) admin tried to use it as a tool to make guns look evil, and to further an anti-gun agenda. Its generally accepted that Holder and his assigns refused to remove or track weapons that they knew were coming back across the border. This didn't happen under the Bush (capitalized) admin. It was begun under them, but as a different program. "As a person who leans more liberal regarding social and personal freedom issues, I blame Obama more for his in-actions than for his actions. He could've worked to crank back the patriot act, he could've worked to get Gitmo closed and dismantled, but maybe he was busy trying to get the crumbled financial sector back into functioning order... I'm not a fan of his actions in libya... but that is the only thing he "did" that I can think to critique him for, rather than what he "didn't do" " Which illustrates my point, I think. Libs are angry at him for dragging his feet, especially when he controlled both Houses early-on. They're angry at him for not taking full advantage of all of that power, and not advancing their agenda like he promised-to during the campaign. End the wars, close Gitmo, unemployment not going below 8%. Getting the crumbled financial sector back into functioning order by blaming the Wall Streeters on one hand, but taking their contributions with the other. By not forcing GE to pay any taxes on its billions in profits. By giving GM and Chrysler tons of OUR money which they'll never have to pay back. By handing out millions to "green technologies" which failed in short order (and the CEO's will not be held accountable nor investigated). Happens on both sides of the ideological coin. But conservatives don't make movies and write books about killing Obama.
  21. Thats what I get for assuming. Sorry missed the link. Scratch that... The Wyoming link is in West Price Hill. Can be a bad place. MUCH different than Hyde Park, for sure.
  22. Or how far liberals will go to not see a trend. Not necessarily regarding this thread, but overall. Because of the current administration, conservatives are overly sensitive to a trend that they see/ perceive. Because this administration is agreeable to them, liberals are happy to see it happen. Nothing different than liberals condemning everything (yes. Everything) that Bush did, yet not calling out Obama on any of his policies, even though the current administration can be viewed as more threatening to individual freedoms, i.e. the second amendment (reference Fast 'n Furious). Politics as usual. Broken as usual. Flush Washington. All of it.
  23. I wouldn't really call Hyde Park "ghetto". (Whoops, see faux pas below...)
