  1. Somebody just get her one of these and be done with it all this silliness.
  2. I have crashed 1 street bike and several offroad 2,3 and 4 wheeled machines while wearing helmets and never once ended up dead. I do though still have all my teeth, my nose and both eyes. My streetbike crash was a 45mph highside where I hit the road face first. Full face helmet seems to have saved my life and I still wear them to this day. You won't convince me otherwise. Now I am sure another statistic you won't hear in any of the bable, from the non-helmet touting fools, is that in the cases of the people killed wearing a helmet is what kind of lid they had on. I would imagine the standard non-DOT, non-Snell, butter dish style miniature half assed helmets with the fake DOT sticker probably do make the crash worst and would probably increase your chances of dieing in a crash. If they are wearing a full face modern helmet that was properly cared for I tend to believe they will increase your chances of living a long life.
  3. It's sold. Thanks for the interest.
  4. Per the article he paid in full, I think the dealership was seriously out of line. The guy was given a verbal price, that price was on the contract and he paid that price. If the dealership comes back later and wants more money they can just keep wanting.
  5. That's cool man. I have a high cap magazine for my one garand. I mounted an EOTech to it and the new mag holds 48 rounds.
  6. Looking to sell my Springfield XDM 4.5inch in 45acp, asking $500. I have around 400 rounds through the gun. Selling because I am not fond of the longer trigger pull, and that I can't hit shit with it:confused:. Everyone I let shoot it hits center bull and just shoots it better than me so I know the gun is not at fault. I am going back to using my 1911 and have decided to let this one go. It is model #XDM94545BHC and comes with all the original accessories, and an extra 13 round mag in the factory hard case. It's never been carried and has not been used with a holster so the finish is showroom fresh.
  7. Finished loading all the .30-06 I had prepped. Everything is on clips and 400 rounds of M2 ball is just a nice big pile of ammo.
  8. Just move to Indiana and shut your hole; http://theweek.com/article/index/229167/the-indiana-law-that-lets-citizens-shoot-cops
  9. You can also grease or wax the tap. You completely fill the flutes in the tap with very thick grease or some soft wax. You want something about as thick as peanut butter. It takes a while but you turn it in one turn and then back it all the way out and clean the chips. Keep that up until you have cut the new threads. The shaving cream is good also but a would rather not let any metal into the cylinder to start with.
  10. Just push the button and end all the fighting. One big sheet of glass. Granted, if they are so busy fighting each other, maybe terrorism around the rest of the planet will be reduced. We should let them have their war and then we only have to wipe out the winners.
  11. An endless stream of beer. Always cold and never skunked.
  12. None so far today:D. Weather was too nice and ended up riding the bike down to Marietta for lunch. It's hard when you have to split your time between two hobbies that both rely on nice weather.
  13. I reload for my .303 brit rifles. Saves a ton of cash over retail, if I remember right I am reloading it for around 28 cents per round. The 30-06 I am reloading to military M2 ball specs and they are about 25 cents each.
  14. I spent the day reloading. I picked up one of the Hornady auto powder throwers today so I figured I would try it out. I think I finally have it set up correctly. The first 50 rounds I tried to load it was overcharging the scale pan something fierce. Changed the timing of when it drops from high speed down to trickle and it seems to be doing good. The auto scale thing isn't any faster than weighing the charge by hand but now I run both scales at the same time and it makes filling cases a ton faster. Turned this pile of sized 30-06 brass; Into a pile of partially trimmed and loaded rounds; And eventually more loaded rounds Hopefully Friday I can finish the other 150 that need trimmed and loaded.
  15. I wish it was only 2 hours. Mapped out, they are claiming just shy of 9hrs.
  16. That's cool, just trying to find somebody that may be going if they wanted to trailer with me to help split the costs or if they have a spare spot on their trailer I can tag along with them.
  17. Anybody going down to Alabama next week for the Barber Vintage weekend?
  18. The hylomar is a gasket compound. It needs to go on before everything is put together, it would go on the threads first. You can also use it on paper, rubber and metal gaskets just like you would RTV but the stuff never truly gets hard. For most things it actually makes taking apart easier as it doesn't cure into a solid. It stays a very thick gel/paste unless you overheat the stuff. When first out of the tube it spreads as easy as RTV and is about the same consistency. Once the chemicals flash off it gets much thicker, almost the consistency of modeling clay but stickier than all heck. I use it for all kinds of things around the garage. In this picture you can see the blue sticking out from under the gasket on my cylinder heads. I used it to glue the old head gaskets back onto the heads when I put them in the blast cabinet. The stuff sticks well enough to keep the gaskets in place even when hitting them with a bead blaster. Sorry for the fuzzy image.
  19. Scooter racing, well at least scooter drifting. http://youtu.be/D2daPNH93oc
  20. http://www.hylomarsealant.com/ Good for anything that leaks and might flex while in use.
  21. Why not just get the Mossberg 91356 barrel for your 870. $190 or less for a fully rifled barrel with cantilever scope rail built in. You aren't gonna find a gun set up for what you want at that price. http://www.amazon.com/Mossberg-91356-870-Remington-Barrel/dp/B0002INHO6 (amazons not the cheapest but they have a good picture)
  22. And it gets worst! http://centralillinoisproud.com/fulltext?nxd_id=269562
  23. I have a hard time waving on the Ducati for the same reason. Hand cramps, wrists locked up and the possibility that if I take a hand off the bars and hit a bump it may head shake like a fool. The Triumph, yep, I wave to everybody.
  24. Get a Volquartsen TF17. Best of both worlds. Reliable Ruger 10/22 style semi-auto rifle, chambered in 17HMR.
