  1. I can't wait till electric bikes start dropping in price. They make perfect sense for me as a commuter bike. I'll take mine in a motard please.
  2. Says its fully waterproof... I wonder if that means submersible. Being able to take on some seriously deep water crossings would be cool.
  3. Maybe they thought he was dead.... The insurance theory doesn't make much sense since they left him at the scene. Tampering with evidence is a 3rd degree felony, 2-10 years in texas. Theft of something valued between 1500 and 20K is a "state jail felony" 180days to two years. Probably wanted to get them with a higher charge. http://www.texasdefenselaw.com/texas-criminal-law-guide/crimes-punishments/ Oh, and "Use of laser pointers" Class C misdemeanor. Don't say i didn't warn you.
  4. I hate it... I don't have enough power to get out of trouble on my bike. At 75mph its screaming along at 7500 rpm. And its boring as shit. Riding in traffic during the morning commute it's fun doing battle with the cages, but an all day ride hundreds of miles on the interstate sucks. Sometimes you've gotta do it to get to the good riding though. I don't mind 700 miles of interstate when i get rewarded with twisty mountain roads when i get there.
  5. In that case you'd love route 8 through akron. Preferably during morning rush hour. I haven't lived in Ohio that long, so i haven't found many good roads yet, But 250 is pretty good, especially south of Cadiz. Once you get into WV though, it gets amazing.
  6. I actually get people pulling out MORE when its "motorcycle season" I think it has to do with the double takes i get when people see a motorcycle when its below freezing. The more the temp drops, the more i seem to be seen.
  7. Getting the back wheels of the truck into a ditch, or backed up against a hill makes it easy. I load my bikes into my truck alone on a regular basis. Loading alone is easy, unloading alone isn't. I usually put the bike in first and creep it up the ramp walking beside it till the front wheel is in the bed and i can't walk forward any further. Kill the motor, leave it in gear and hop up onto the tailgate. Restart and finish the job. Make sure the truck is low enough and the ramp is long enough that the bike won't high center on the tailgate. Had that happen, and its a pain in the ass with multiple people, wouldn't want to deal with that by myself.
  8. I own a small 13 inch tv to play xbox on. It hasn't been plugged in in over a year. Never had cable on my own, and quit regular TV when the digital changeover happened.
  9. Buddy of mine welded up a machine that quarters tires so he can just toss em in a dumpster. Every week the garbage truck came and hauled off dozens of tires. They won't float to the surface of a landfill so they don't bitch about it. Then again, that was Indiana. You can get away with lots of things there.
  10. Haha, dang. I'm overwhelmed. I did a google search before i posted this thread and came up with a million places I've never heard of. Where i'm from in indiana, there isn't a single independent pizza place within about 30 miles. I'm in pizza overload here. Ended up just getting out of class a few minutes ago, didn't have time for anything but to grab a sub from jimmy johns. Tomorrow is pizza day. I'm not really into thin crusts, more of a chicago style guy. Something that could feed a small African family for a month.
  11. I'm spending a few days around the airport for some training, and want to have a good pizza tonight or tomorrow. What's a good place to go?
  12. You gotta be fucking kidding me. Stealing my truck would be one thing. I could replace it with an identical one. Stealing my bike is worse... I don't think i could ever find one like it. But my dog? I'd be in jail if i found them, end of story. That is terrible. Hope they get their dog back. I hope the perps die a slow painful death.

    Sheep Pr0n.

31 seconds in reminds me of when i walk into a bar...
  14. Lots of frozen lakes, Sheet metal screws are cheap.
  15. I try to avoid doing this.. But sometimes when 3 cars are rolling side by side at the speed limit wanting to play traffic cop, and i've got someone trying to give me a colonoscopy with their front bumper, I may slip by... and have the whole road to myself because of the rolling road block behind me.
  16. That would take up the entire back wall of my apartment, And wrap around the corner. I want it.
  17. I don't carry a wallet, My cards and cash are always loose in my pockets. But, its almost always in my jeans, under my overpants. What can i say, I like dropping my pants in front of hot cashier girls. I've gotten a lot of double takes doing that.
  18. For wheel spacers you shouldn't need to take it to a bike shop, just have a machine shop make the spacers. Do you have a set of dial calipers? Measure your stock spacers, stock wheel width at the machined face of the hub, and new wheel, and distance between the axle adjusters. Do a little math to keep the wheel centered, Make sure the pulley and brake rotor are the same distance from the centerline of the new wheel as the old wheel, have some spacers turned up and you're done. Shouldn't cost much at all if you can figure out what sizes you need. If the wider wheel still allows you to use factory brake hardware, and doesn't require an offset pulley, it shouldn't cause too much trouble. Got any pictures of the parts? As long as this new wheel has the same bearings as the old wheel and fits on the axle, calculating spacer widths shouldn't be a big deal.

Any major repairs in those miles? Speaks a lot for the reliability if it hasn't.
  20. I saw an F4 on craigslist "converted" to an F4i... It also stated it needed the carbs cleaned. Man, I love craigslist.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FMvlKyLx6M I would rather have the original... What glorious noise.
  22. How is it lowered? It says bags... thats it. Air over leaf? 4 link? How many valves? Compressor/tank setup? Is it bags all around or just helper bags in the back? Doesn't look low enough for a fully bagged truck.
  23. Will the XS wheel work with the virago final drive? I can't imagine that it would just bolt up.
