  1. Usually the vapor will taste burnt when it needs replaced. I clean the coils in mine occasionally when they stop producing as much vapor or flood too badly.
  2. Yup, thats the coil. I have an Aspire tank that uses 1.8ohm coils, easy to replace and cheaper than replacing the tank assembly
  3. I'm chubby so I tend to plan ahead where foods involved, munchies are typically always on hand
  4. I'd be too paranoid to speed if I was high.....so no need to worry about being pulled over to begin with
  5. Uhh, yeah man.....thats what I meant. I typed it with a sarcastic tone in my fingers, but apparently that didn't convey
  6. Thats wild because out of 30 people I'm close friends with, 22 own motorcycles
  7. Track addiction......that's more of a gentle euphemism for "Hi, my name's Jason. I sold my house and built a bigger garage to sleep that much closer to all of the trackbikes that have completely fubar'd my financial well-being......Anybody take a blowie for some fuel and ramen noodles?"
  8. I rode Putnam for my first trackday, it was a great experience. Very forgiving track, simple lines to help you work on consistencies at an easier rate, and hardly any undulation/elevation changes so there aren't any off camber turns to cope with. I highly suggest it for a first timer. Not saying you can't be a first time trackday'er at MidO, but it will be a lot more to soak in and adapt to in comparison with Putnam or the like..
  9. So far it's ok, I know they need to catch everyone up on the goings on of seperate groups.....but the damn episodes need to be 2 hrs long or split an hour Sunday and another hour Thursday, waiting a week for a 1 hour fix sucks
  10. No kidding Mike, will I need to make an appointment before the next time we hang out?
  11. Yeah, I've seen them run at MidO too. And my statement was in comparison to the DSB and SBK class machines. I never implied they were minutes apart on lap times , or the riders were hacks, or the bikes were shit and incompetent, or I could outride any of them, or anything of the sort. Purely about physics. Heavier is obviously gonna be slower, but comparably upgraded they still perform for what they are.
  12. Sure you could, the ZX14 ( after eliminating the speed governor ) will break 220mph before it runs out of gear, but it would take a few miles to do so. Brock built his to bust 200 in the STANDING MILE.....if it was at Bonneville, he could've broke 200 easy on a stock bike fitted with a power commander. I know, I know......this is an old thread, but reread it all and found this
  13. I don't compare any other make to Harley because, like you said, there's no comparison. Other makes are selling the same, or better, bikes for far less. Although the lifestyle membership isn't part of the deal with other makes, I can't see how HD justifies tacking on 4-6k for that name plate. As for HD being the target since the late 90's?? Nah, HD has been the target here since the inception of the big 4 and the American market place for motorcycles....period. I don't discount the fact that HD has something for the industry, but to say EVERY other make out there has bandwagoned behind them is blatanly untrue. The ONLY thing HD has done in comparison to all others is that they haven't changed much at all with the trends ( to a point ) and did stick to their guns with their styling. I also appreciate the AMA XR1200 class. It's fun to watch, albeit a bit slow, it's still impressive for the weightclass......after some substantial upgrading of course
  14. You want a fun AND cheap way to clear the driveway, get a big 2stage, throw it in high gear, and ride on a snowboard.....it's funner than just walking behind it

Possibly, but doubtful. We always carry and extra 5-10 gallons, but the wife's bike drinks less than a tank at a trackday so we'll likely have spare fuel -- as well as other's that may be gracious enough to dose up your bike

Hell yes, OR invades MidO on AMA weekend....what beautiful chaos it shall be

Just prep it for intermediate beforehand in case you want to bump up from novice when you get there. That way you're covered either way.
  18. Turn off the damn cold and we can all ride there! See ya there folks
  19. Got any pics of that old H4? Loved those old widowmakers. See ya at MidO in July
  20. Good time, good company, good brew, and good to finally meet ya josh.
