  1. That engine is not so bad. It's similar to the 99-02 engine I split to fix that gen's trans issue, so I know what you're stepping in. You will have to drain all fluids, remove engine and split the case. The only real "hard" part is the oil pump chain, everything else is easy so long as you have basic mechanical knowledge (which seeing as you've gotten this far, it's really not that much more difficult). Once you get behind the oil pump/lubricating bits, the transmission follows. The output (sprocket) shaft pulls right out after the shift drum and forks. The input shaft (clutch/pictured in your op) is a bit more difficult as you have to release it from the clutch casing with two or three screws. Seeing as how it's winter/off-season, I'd budget about two-three weekends worth of work if you're ocd. You could crank it out in one weekend with no distractions.
  2. The track is responsible for promotion. They have the option of bringing in M1 Powersports if they'd like, which personally I feel should take over promotions for the entire calendar with the success of the Big Kahuna rounds this year.
  3. The replaceable Delrin tip is an excellent feature that helps set the CRG RC2 apart from the competition.
  4. Chris, this tool will also do the trick - http://www.drillspot.com/products/539704/kd_tools_kds2775_hand_bearing_packer How fast are you all going with the 12" wheels? I keep it at 65-70mph in 5th out of 6 gears but I always wonder if that's riding the limit of the bearings or not. (I've replaced all included bearings with Timken brand equivalent during initial build)
  5. Just in from Arai, the brand new Corsair-V Haslam-2 helmet is now available from Riders Discount. The Corsair-V helmet is one of the best possible ways to protect your head, and the new Leon Haslam graphic looks great on it. Be sure to get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested in this, or any other Arai helmet. He can be reached through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809. If email is more convenient for you, feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!
  6. We previewed the new Cortech Adrenaline suit a few months ago when a couple of pre-production samples arrived at Riders Discount, and we knew right away that it was going to be a hit. This was not only because of the high quality protection and comfort features, but also because it comes in at a very competitive price point. The Cortech Adrenaline suit is constructed using top grade cowhide that has been drum dyed and triple stitched with bonded nylon thread. This leather is very tough, and in order to maximize the abrasion resistance, Cortech made sure that critical areas like the seat and back of the thighs use large, seamless leather panels. No matter how strong the stitching is, it can’t be as strong as a continuous piece of leather. Additional protection comes from molded TPU protectors on the shoulders and elbows that are capped with stainless steel. Based on protection alone, the Adrenaline is a great deal, but it really starts to stand out even more when you get into the comfort features. One of the first things we noticed about the Adrenaline was the number of leather accordion stretch panels. They are found in just about every section of the suit, including the shoulders, sides, elbows, waist, knees and calves. It’s not just the number of panels that make it flexible, it’s the way that they work together. Looking at the back of the suit you will see that the accordion panels form a nearly full circle that runs from the top of the shoulders, and down the sides to meet up with the large panel in the lower back. This leads to the kind of flexibility that is normally only found in significantly more expensive suits. Additional comfort features include a perforation scheme that works to keep you cool. The back hump is very effective at allowing air to flow through to your back and out the various perforations that run down the back of the suit. Air is also able to flow through all of the stretch panels, as well as through the thoroughly perforated chest. Despite the ventilation, it’s inevitable that you’re going to work up a sweat while riding on the track, but a removable liner makes it easy to wash it and keep things fresh. If you’re interested in a suit that offers the most bang for the buck that we’ve seen in quite awhile, we recommend checking out the Cortech Adrenaline. You can get more information, as well as expert sizing advice by contacting MIKE through this forum, or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 804. If email is more convenient, feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Cortech Adrenaline suit is available in your choice of three colors. They include Black/Red... Red... and Blue. Stretch panels in the sides connect to the shoulders and lower back to provide a great deal of flexibility. The arms and crotch feature heavy duty Kevlar stretch panels to make movement easier. Molded TPU protectors capped with stainless steel cover the shoulders and elbow.
  7. The apple fanboi in me is crying for what i'm about to post, but - a properly built windows machine running the adobe products will be able to handle the large files with no problems at a (somewhat) cheaper cost.
  8. Arai’s brand new Nicky Hayden replica helmet, dubbed the Nicky-4, is now available from Riders Discount. Like the previous design, the new Nicky-4 also features a matte finish that gives this helmet a unique look. The graphics are laid onto the shell of Arai’s flagship Corsair-V, so not only do you get a great looking design, you get it on what we consider to be the best helmet on the market today. This helmet is so new that it isn’t listed on the Riders Discount website yet, but you can get yours by contacting Nathan. He can be reached through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809. If email is more convenient for you, feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Arai Corsair-V Nicky-4 is shown here with an optional dark smoke shield.
  9. I use Adobe Premiere or iMovie for quick edits for any of our action cameras. Play around with time lapse! It's probably one of my favorite, and least posted, features of the camera.
  10. I don't have any Gerbing's product here so I can't test that out to confirm. The plugs may be the same but there may be some difference in the amperage/wattage/voltage between the two. PM sent. Actually, another PM sent to you Ryan - I've. Got. A. Plan.
  11. Looking for a set of steel sprockets that combines performance and longevity? Driven Racing produces a high quality set that does just that. Their sprockets are produced using high-grade carbon steel that has been heat treated and quenched for maximum strength. These long lasting sprockets were designed with weight savings in mind as well, which resulted in some of the lightest 520 steel sprockets available today. After the machining is finished, Driven uses a proprietary electro-static plating process to give the sprockets their attractive black finish. Driven offers their 520 steel sprockets in a number of different tooth counts for both the front and rear of many modern sportbikes, but they aren’t listed on the Riders Discount website yet, so just get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested. He’ll just need to know the year/model of your bike, as well as the number of teeth you’re looking for and he’ll be happy to assist you. You can reach him by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or by sending a PM through this forum. 12. Make the Alpinestars Tech Heat gear even more versatile by adding the ETR controller. This controller allows you to power the gear on and select between three different heat settings. The large circular button is easy to use with gloved hands and features LED lights that change colors to show you which setting you have selected at a glance. With each press of the button, the ETR controller will change between green (30% heat), yellow (60% heat), and red (100% heat).
  13. We still have a few of these phenomenal suits left in Blue 42 US/52 EU. Don’t miss out on this amazing deal!
  14. Joey Pascarella Custom Saddlemen Seat To Benefit The Keep A Breast Foundation This custom Saddlemen seat was used by 2012 Daytona 200 winner Joey Pascarella on his 2012 Suzuki GSXR-600 during the AMA Daytona Sportbike season finale at the NOLA Motorsports park. The seat features Joey’s name and number embroidered down the center in bright pink, as well as pink leather accents at the front and back. Pascarella originally came up with the idea for the seat as a way to raise breast cancer awareness, and all proceeds from the auction will go to the Keep A Breast Foundation. Joey Pascarella - “For our last round at NOLA, my team manager Bree and I came up with a awesome idea to have a pink seat for breast cancer awareness. She got on the phone with Saddlemen and they were willing to make a custom pink seat for the race. Breast cancer isn't something that has affected my life personally, but I know it has hurt other people and families all around the world. I’m glad that I was able to represent and support in my own way." Breeann Poland, Team Manager - “Joey wanted to do something to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month and came to me about the seat. I thought it was a great idea for a great cause and I’m very thankful that Saddlemen was willing to work with us to make this happen!” About the Keep A Breast Foundation: The Keep A Breast Foundation is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fund-raising efforts we seek to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being. 15. Regarding #2, I haven't touched any of the settings on my bike since I worked with Compton to setup my baseline. Even then, my "baseline" was pretty much setting sag and putting the clicks in based on experience with his past riders and off I went. I ride the bike with the impression that the components I have are able to meet and exceed my riding demands. Until I am pushing the current setting's capabilities, only then will I learn what adding 2 clicks of rebound in front, or dropping the rear 2mm will result in.

  17. Keep your Liquid Image EGO safe and dry in the optional waterproof housing. With a depth rating of 130 ft., the case is more than enough to keep water off of the camera whether you’re surfing or riding on a rainy day. The waterproof housing adds a lot of protection, without adding much size. Two buttons on the top maintain the easy to use functionality of the EGO. A sturdy latch secures the camera in place and keeps a tight seal around the door.
  18. Little details like having the island’s name written in English and Manx help make this helmet a classic. We still have a few left in medium and large, so don’t miss your chance to pick one up before this limited edition is gone for good!
  19. After reading some of the motoseries' threads, you guys have some weird ways of "goofing off."
  20. True, but waaay down is only a matter of a few ounces with a lot of these helmets.
