  1. That is awesome, I will do some more research when I get a moment and see if that will work.
  2. Thx LS, I wish I could. But all signs are kinda telling me to sit this one out and prolly I should hehe but very kind of you to offer.
  3. 2013 street triple R, the ones I saw on eBay are like asking for 120 bucks for used rashed rear set. I am thinking of just getting a cheapo rear set full kit for that kinda money. Oem new triumph is costly but if they could have sourced it for me before this weekend would have pulled the trigger. But I think it's better to just wait and not try to spend more to meet a deadline.
  4. Just bent, its aluminum I will try to heat and bend back, I tried once with a heat gun and some elbow grease but it started to make the crack noise now it has a small crack and I stopped.
  5. Technically if I could just get a shifter pedal I could still make this happen ( as long as slots are open) I just realigned the forks and triple tree thingy and there was no bend in handle bars, so if I get a shifter pedal I could run this bike albeit looking ugly contrary to how I always wash wax and keep it. Lol cant seem to find one new or used which will be available within next few days.
  6. Wish I could have joined you, but was working till late evening
  7. Hiro, Only you can come up with these ideas hehe I bet you are using the hip pads for back protector and you also need to come out for one ride and meet the rest of the crew. Then instantly you are in the clique. No walking on hot coals or drinking molten steel or stabbing old ladies. Just come for one group ride and meet others.
  8. He had surgery Monday, went well. Recovering after that. Still need time to get going. He is feeling okay. Hoping to get out as soon as he can fart. It's Time for him to live up to the title of old fart
  9. In 2015 me and Jerry talking "imagine one day tonik getting a sports bike full leather and hitting the tracks " "hahahaha and the sun will just disappear in the middle of the day if that ever happens"
  10. U should just jump in and join one of the group rides posted here. Be atgatt and ready to ride your ride. I f you feel the pace is too hot headed, Just let the guy up ahead go to a point you don't have him in you radar and then ride like you are riding the solo ride with no pressure. They will wait at next intersection. And talk more about riding and enjoy the day and next big stop.
  11. Justin, I might try either Saturday or Sunday will know only by Friday I will watch for this thread
  12. I had some opening in various parts of the country once I finished the fellowship and stuff. But one of the main reason I decided to come back to Ohio was because the only folks I knew in US as friends and some close as family was in ohio. And it looks like the same gang is slowly tricking away to Tennessee . First Hailwood now hoblick, i will sabotage any plans pauly makes to leave. On topic hoblick, I have a feeling you already made up your mind and this post was to sort of reinforce that decision. Good luck, riding in feb on those roads is worth any hassle of move.
  13. Jesse, I might be very biased but I will advice you as flash said above regarding the class. But if you been riding dirt bikes seriously for many years you will make a good street rider just need more miles under your belt. The s40 might be boring than the 250-300 sports bike in terms of pure drive dynamics if that's what you after. Plus hard to find the right crowd of "real ride" The one thing I can guarantee if you stick around in OR is you will develop some close friends, develop good riding habits, become better rider by riding with good riders, riding ATGATT will become second nature and develop a nasty psycho sick asshat personality plus you get to give these kind of crappy advice to the next person that comes in. But seriously get a sports bike and stick with a group that rides with protective gear on and go for weekend twisties and better mileage. Friends you ride with are almost everything in motorcycling, if you find the right crowd it's easy and better. Those wanna pirates bar hopping crowd and those wannabe renegade punks highway bombing and wheeling around in shorts and tennis shoes just fell with that kind of crowd when they started and think "this is it" and never know what they missing in the real world of motorcycling. Wait for the right bike and don't try to get a bike just because it's cheap. It will come to you within weeks, it's that season of "motorcycle giving" away. Plus you are in Salem close to me, need more sports bike type around here to go for a quick evening jaunt in twisties. Met just recently another guy on white bimmer s1000 from Salem. Rare breed to find around here. Gawd knows the amount of cruisers running around.
  14. i know the average age in OR is pretty high. Many folks are above 50 , make sure you get the screenings done on time. This might be a big difference maker in future. Another one is some folks are on heavier side and built with bigger neck and upper chest mass. Sleep apnea is a silent slow killer and will result in irreversible damage to lung and heart. Its not a mainstream problem yet because not much drug help and hence big pharma doesnt advert much. But if you have snoring issues fit the above profile, make sure you get sleep study done. Not trying to offend any one just giving a heads up as the earlier you start the better the outlook.
  15. you are soniking + derek coming. I will pray to weather gods for you guys
  16. @jacobhawkins keeping the FJR clean for good resale. I am keeping it washed and waxed after every ride. dont have to be that anal about striple from now on @DerekClouser for sure, i will try to come by to pay a visit to all hoORigans if at all things line up. @Tonik not just plastic, bend shifter and slightly bend handle bar, i am getting new since even if i bend it back its not going to be accurate i guess.
  17. i can lend you mine if you still need one. dont think wearing chest harness is good idea for track day, most likely they wont allow. You can mount the go pro on you bar in a way that you wont be able to see speedo and get distracted but the go pro can record it and play back later for review and self eval. I do that for street, but track wants you plastered on speedo. I guess derek will have enough cams to lend to all OR during track day.
  18. whats happening to OR Tonic >>>>>> Sonic Tpoppa >>>>>> BarHoppa
  19. Its with a heavy heart I have to post this up. I been waiting for Jerry to post up some update himself if he was upto sharing it. He was thinking of doing it but I guess too much for him to write up details etc. Today he texted me and gave an okay to share some details with you guys. I know just like me who ever met him for more than couple of rides have always been a friend to him. The last few rides we went on he was feeling pain in his right upper abdomen, I know he was really feeling it, if not he wouldn't even mention it. We been telling him to get this looked at, scanned blood work etc. But he was in the process of going through retirement and hence medical insurance in transition. So had to wait till his new insurance card arrived. Over the past week he has been progressively getting weaker and almost bed bound. When he wouldn't get out to ride on some beautiful weather day after retirement and no work to do, I guessed something must be off. He went in end of last week, the first day he got his insurance card straight to ED. The first set of blood work and liver scan was suspicious. I guessed the answer, but didn't have the courage to tell him. I guess I was hoping it would be an error and subsequent tests would be okay. After couple more days of tests and scans things are getting more clear. He has primary Cancer in colon with mets to liver. He will getting the colon part removed surgically today at 3pm in trumbull memorial in warren. Then it will be chemo most likely. He will need your prayers / positive vibes/ wishes anything thrown at him. He has good family support. His wife and daughter are rock solid. IF there was no metastasis things would have been much more easier, but just mets to liver is still not too bad. Chemo is going to be a hard, but knowing how strong he is I know he will beat this. And hopefully we be all riding again next season opener. I feel slightly better now that I can share with you guys. I know many people here were close to him just like I was. He was always a great help to any one who asked for help. Be it family relatives friends neighbors or even strangers. Most time I am at his house I would see some body walking in for getting his help on some knick knacks. on when I am calling him he would be at his neighbors place fixing his lawn mover or some thing. For somebody who has always been a best influence on me and others around him he needs the support when it really counts. So keep him in your thought ORians. I wish and would even pray despite being an atheist for his best. And I have a feeling this will be just a hiccup on his path till next year when beautiful weather and multiday motorcycling trips awaits him.
  20. Tonik the ixs seems like a decent suit for that price, but you kinda need a quirky body habitus which I think you might be lucky. As in lean small torso and lanky limbs. For me that was perfect. I had to go one size up. I am usually size 50 euro and needed 52 in this. If you have long upper torso compared to legs might be tuff fit. Regarding head count, wish I could make it. But still waiting for some parts on triple. Don't think it will be here on time hence I am most likely out as last minute novice most likely will be sold out even. Have fun ride safe people.
  21. @Wojo72 I am guessing you already checked the TPS thingy. Many guys reported better fueling once that was realigned.
  22. I was looking for good used one for long time. Hard to come by at the right price. Realibility is the only issue as far as I seen people discuss. As in they feel "real trust" to take a rally raided Honda cbx over a better performing 690 enduro into the wild boonies
  23. I left home bit early and wanted to take my time getting to the meet spot and hence was able to stop and take couple of pics. I think what I need to do is go back to my 'pic stop rides' till I get my head back in game fully.
