  1. I was pretty conservative until I got a little groove and was sure the camera wouldn't pop off :-). I don't think my lines were bad, but blind rises still make me nervous, and tight turns.
  2. I wonder if you showed up on a Victory with Glock apparel, he'd take a picture with you?
  3. Hey Tweak, here's some of the ride back on 664:
  4. I know, I know, hippy sentiment is way outnumbered in OR, but it's in my nature to try ;-).
  5. I takes longer, but it accomplishes things nothing else will. You should try it for a few years. All we are saying... ;-)
  6. No, that's a bad comparison, and mine's not a theoretical Disney sentiment - it's a matter of practicality. This joker didn't murder thousands of innocent lives and pose a clear and present military danger. He was a spiteful, loudmouth jerk who spooled people up into a frenzy, but his weapons of choice didn't include a gun, they were words, ideas, emotions, fear and hate. You can't kill ideas with might in a free-speech democracy - You have to counter them with better ideas put into practice. That's why seeing thousands of bikers, hippies, atheists, christians, white collar, blue collar, city and country folks standing side-by-side as an expression of calm unity has far more power than punitively reacting with violence. It's very hard, to decide that a higher plane is more valuable than a feel-good shove back.
  7. It may, but it could also prove to them that the corrupt world really is out to get them, and we have a double-standard even though we say we don't. How about protection, respect and dignity of the proceeding. Show WBC members that we practice what we preach, that hate cannot be a legacy.
  8. But then where do you draw the line? There aren't enough pineapples for all the bigotry in the world. I think it's strategically better to exhibit the very tolerance and sympathy that haters hate.
  9. Ironically enough, he did bring a lot of VERY dissimilar people together against him. Maybe he'll get a lollipop for it on the way to hell.
  10. Unless you're the hermit king.
  11. Ditto re: a great seller - nice to meet you in person. BTW I'm uploading a video of the ride back and will post a link in about an hour.
  12. Kim be all like "bowl cut h8rs gonna h8..."
  13. I'll take the moment to promote "Moto Minder" for the iPhone. There are similar apps for Android, and I've found is a GREAT way to stay on top of maintenance for all my vehicles.
  14. He probably believes his own self-deception to such a degree, we can't even fathom his mental landscape. How many generations has his family ruled the country? What would it be like to grow up as a prodigal son in an authoritarian hermit kingdom? He just had his uncle murdered for being too uppity after mentoring the little shit, and did his ex girlfriend and her musician friends no favors after he took a wife (who probably gave in to paranoia and wormed self-preserving thoughts into his head during pillow talk). Psychosis is North Korea's national flower.
  15. Fuelly is definitely one of the high points on the Internet. I record all my vehicles there.
  16. Corporations are people too, and in fact, you meet the nicest corporations on a Honda.
  17. Isn't 12,000-18,000 miles a typical factory recommended interval? Takes all of 30 minutes to do.
  18. Oh yea, don't get me wrong, I loved my V-Star 1100 and CB700SC's shaft drives, and I also enjoyed the S40's belt drive too!
  19. I can't believe I avoided chain-driven motorcycles for my first year in the hobby because I heard folks complain about maintenance. It's really no biggie, especially if you already take pride in vehicle upkeep anyway.
  20. You tell them Pokey! And to hell with food inspections and drug safety regulations! Back off Nuclear Regulatory Commission - I can operate a reactor responsibly on my own! And ef yu whoever said I can't store chemicals in leaky containers - there's plenty of groundwater to go around! Go back into your hole, stupid job-killing FAA - you've made aviation too expensive by requiring mechanics and pilots to be trained and certified! Government is for coddled loooooosers. <For the record I'm not a fan of gun registration, but I prefer to deal with CHL holders because they've already been vetted.>
