  1. 26 miles each way, but it's all highway and light traffic. It takes me exactly 30 minutes, unless the snow is really falling. The relative safety of the turnpike allows me to ride all year, even the day after a decent snowfall like we just had. I would commute up to an hour, as long as it doesn't include battling traffic. Then again, the nature of my job doesn't require me to go in every day, so there's that.
  2. Finally home and didn't gain any weight on this last trip, so I'll have to call it a win. Now I can really focus on the diet and excercise routine.
  3. Yep. Our last stop on this two week tour is China, then the long ride home. Should be close to 20,000NM on this run.
  4. Middle picture from the hotel.
  5. These things are hugely popular all through Asia for obvious reasons, but today's stop takes the cake. Every time we come here it just amazes me at the sheer number of scooters buzzing around. It's like wading through a swarm of bees. Looking out from my hotel room. This is the best one though, cut from a video my buddy shot on the way to the hotel. This dude's carrying 5 pony kegs. The scooter in front of him has a family of 4 on it. None of this is the least bit unusual here. I saw two scooters transporting a couch a few years ago, but wasn't fast enough to get a picture.
  6. It'd be much easier if I was in the States and in the same time zone these entire two weeks, but this type of trip you tend to eat when you can and what you feel is safe. Fruit and raw veggies aren't an option.
  7. 7 days out of the country and crossed through 11 time zones plus another week to go. It's very hard to stick to any real diet this way.
  8. I'm 20lbs overweight, my clothes don't fit well and I feel like crap. I guess it's time to get serious.
  9. Subscribed. I may come down and camp a night or two. 2017's going to be a tough year for vacations.
  10. Welcome! I refuse to control my rebellious soul.
  11. I'll be shopping for a dual sport before spring, have to give this one a look. I really want to stay on the lighter end of the spectrum.
  12. First cold day and I'm feeling the winter blues already. Sheesh.
  13. I get to ride home from work, as the sun is going down.
  14. Of the three bikes I've sold on CL, I've never been asked to provide that and I wouldn't pay for one if I was.
  15. Nothing. Mine's still sitting in the garage at wok, but I get to go home tomorrow. Woohooo! It's been a loooong week.
  16. I think I'll try the T30s again and also pick up an Angel front.
  17. I'm looking for stickier tires for my other set of wheels. I'll stay with the PR4 for long distance and commuting, but they were sliding around way too much in the technical stuff.
  18. What's your next set going to be, Tim?
  19. Just out of curiosity, what pressures are you running? Mine seem to do better 3-4 over what Yamaha recommends. Then again, I'm more of a distance rider, so the center always wears out first, with lots of tread left on the sides.
  20. Oh my God, that's funny! Sad and exasperating too.
