Yeah the gen 2 fairings were a bit of a hassle. Gen 3 fairings no longer have this issue. I went from a BMW k-bike to the FJR so it feels nimble to me.

For what Sport Touring bikes are designed for, they all do it really well. That's what makes it so hard to choose between them. I do find it odd the Honda ST has no love in the major reviews.

Of course I am bias, but the FJR is a great bike. It is my first motorcycle that if i totaled today, I would go buy another.

Just ordered a new Givi tank bag due to my Cortech bag zippers decided to fail. Tank bags are just too darn convenient.

I just made it home. Made some wrong turns and took a very odd route home. I got burnt some, but not too bad. It was fun hanging out with you guys.

I walked through some of the swap meet and then drooled over bikes in the pits. Decided to sit down and watch some bikes on track.

I'm leaving the Coolville with a group of old guys around 7am, should be there around 10:00-10:30.

+1 on this. Can't wait to get out on the bike and find a place with no phone/internet service and twisty roads.

IMO the cop is 100% in the wrong (from the information provided), but I did think it was odd that the speed the bike was traveling was not mentioned anywhere. Does it change your opinion of what happened if the bike was over 100 mph? or if it was on the back wheel? I don't think these were factors, but it clearly changes the view of the accident if they were. It's crazy how many bike accidents are caused by u-turns.

I hate to see these things happen, but clearly we are not getting the whole story on either side. Too many factors that cannot/will not be answered. End of the day, a motorcyclist lost his life, which is sad.

I haven't ran the Super 2.0 system, but I have a Cortech Dryver Tank bank. It uses a lock ring instead of magnets. I have used it for several years with no complaints. It has faded a good bit, but I leave it on my bike all the time, so it sits in the sun while at work. Revzilla has them on closeout right now.

I keep looking at that Scrambler, i don't know why, but I just like it.

I rode 26/260/800/78 Saturday as well. Of course I'm from the south end, so I ride them a good bit. Very nice roads.

I don't think I could commute in big city bullshit traffic everyday. I don't have that kind of patience to deal with idiots.

Everyone I have met with a Zumo has been happy with it for the most part. It's a GPS, so its bound to give a wrong turn every now and then.

I ran the loop counterclockwise from Marietta, but I didn't see you guys. I did miss a turn and ran 145 up to Lewisville and then 78. 230 miles for me. Perfect weather, I hope you guys had/having fun.

Did you see the jack knifed suburban with the car trailer in the median on 75? It was carnage. I came through right after it happened. The cables in the median kept them from hitting oncoming traffic.

I think I can count the amount of times I have ever seen an Aprilia on one hand. For something that expensive with that amount of electronics, I would want a better dealer network.
