I would like to but I need to get gloves for the track and that's not gonna happen at this point. I just got rid of the 600rr and picked up a 1000rr. I've spent spent some money with that transition and my wife has already told me she feels like there are new things arriving daily to our house. Then I got a ticket last week. She was not impressed. So I'm gonna hold off and do the track thing next year.

I'm planning to be there in the morning until lunch. I'll be your biggest fan.

It's back to reality on Monday for me doc. I have to be at the school from 8-3 for teacher day. I'm afraid I will be unable to make these rides now. I do get some off the wall days off. I'll check in with you when they come about and see if we can't make something work out.

My bike could out run the charger that pulled me over but I'm not so sure about the radio ahead he put out. I never knew he was there until I decided I should slow down once I saw oncoming traffic. If those cars coming at me would not have slowed and pulled over to curb I would have never saw the lights behind me. I thought about rolling back into it but I had no clue how long he had been following me nor how close he had gotten to me. I was not sure if he had captured my plate number. So I thought it was best to pull over and hope for the best. I had not gotten a ticket in 3 yrs so I figured it may help my cause. In the end probably was the best move for me cuz I was on 9 south just past 151 split and I don't know that there are any side streets to turn off until 22.

I love the 1000. I'm not sure why it has gears 4,5,&6. I think it handles better than my 600. I find myself going faster because it seems as though the engine is never working. Where the 600 was always screaming to do what I wanted it to do. I did pick up a ticket unfortunately yesterday with it. Not that same thing could not have happened with the 600. When I got it I figured if I did not like it I could easily find somebody to trade me a 600 for it. I don't see that ever happening. I do enjoy shifting less. Although I do find myself downshifting at times to get some engine brake for tighter corners (30mph and below) because it seems as though it rolls effortlessly through them. The 600 seemed to always have engine brake because I was high in the rpms constantly. My guess is that bike has a better life now that I'm not ringing its neck.

I got pulled over yesterday and I had earphones in playing music. I think it cost me more than what I could have ended up with. I never heard the sirens or saw his lights and kept blasting away down the road giving the officer more to see. He had radioed ahead to the next town because he thought I was running. Thankfully I finally spotted him in my mirror before I made it to the next town. I'm also grateful the cop was cool. He only wrote me up for 54 in a 35. It could have been much much worse. I also never pulled my helmet to show the earphones until after he handed me the ticket. I'm sure he saw them but he did not say anything to me. They do resemble earplugs but I would have guessed he could tell. I just thanked him for being nice to me.

I've thought about it but I have to be back home by 3 or so and I don't want everything to be rushed. I still have a cbr but it now says 1000 instead of 600 on the side of it. I'm thinking track next year. I still should probably get some better gear for a track day. I have a suit that has the 3/4, 7/8 zipper that I'm fine with. I recently purchased some gauntlet gloves that I thought would be track appropriate but once I received them I question if they are or not. Don't know that my touring boots essentially will cut it either. With what I have spent lately on the new to me bike and my quad my wife will kill me if I go buying more gear for a track day even if I can ride for free. These will be your first track days correct? Be sure to let me know what you think after each of them? Sorry to hear things have been so crazy for. Enjoy your track days.

You're just going to become a regular track guy there @jacobhawkins. At mid Ohio during the week. Then PIRC on the weekend. I'm jealous. I was going to try and come watch you guys at PIRC, if I do it will probably have to be Saturday.

I'm out. Wife isn't going to let that happen after riding 11hrs yesterday. Thanks for the invite.

Always great to ride with you as well @NinjaDoc. Wish I did not have to rush off.

Flashesbuck I understand your frustration. I often buy and sell bikes on CL as well and you come to expect these kind of things. You may even get offered a pool table here since you posted on this forum. I sold 2 bikes this summer and both of them came from Cycletrader ads I posted. You can post there for free for 2 weeks. Both of those transactions went smoother than any bike I have sold on CL. I personally post my bikes at blue book value if there clean and the mileage is good. Sold my own personal bike for $700 under book because it had 34,000 miles. Nice looking bike. GLWS -
I have found the quoted site to be fairly decent. I have found most of the roads I ride on here. There have definitely been some duds but most have been good.

I have a GPR that came off a 05 600rr I flipped. Thought I'd post it up here to see if anybody wants it. Make me an offer if you're interested.

Doc I think I now know why you can't sleep the night before a ride. You stay up all night researching every bike out there don't you.

In WVA a lot of new pavement was put down on 250, but when I was there near the end of June there was a fair amount of gravel so watch yourself. Awesome road. I took it down to 79.

I can believe it happens often, but it surely shouldn't. It's simple stay in your lane. Don't ride above your level. Especially at Tail, you know it's dangerous and there will be traffic.

That's even better. I think it's awesome to pass on skills/knowledge to our kids.

Totally agree with you Tonik that people live the life they see. I see it very often as a teacher. The idea that the apple does not fall from the tree holds very true most of the time. Sure you have some rare cases where they don't. My problem is I don't have an answer of how we intervene.

Nice riding with you again Nivin and Al. Nice to meet you Jim, Jim and Tim. I had a blast. Pace was great. Route was great too. I still ended up with like 350 miles today.
