  1. LOL, like my stupid Moostang would get a garage space. That's for F-bodies, not some slow-ass Mustang.
  2. Wow, I can't believe that post: - Car gets 20MPG, not 5 - I'm no homo, I'm not buying an economy car. Screw that, I'd rather have the world hate me than drive around some damn Civic just so the neighbors are happy. The Moostang is reliable, so I'm not saving any money buying something else. I hate boring FWD cars; that's torture to me. I'm not poor; I don't have to drive some gas sipping shitbox. - The car has mufflers, full sized ones, 2 of them. This isn't the Formula, it isn't some crazy loud car. Just louder than stock. Nothing that you would think is out of the ordinary for your average Moostang on the street. But loud enough to wake a baby I guess. - I do plan on ridding myself of this car, hopefully this winter. But it will be replaced with something much faster w/ a couple less seats. I parked it in the street; I'll see how that does for them.

    XM or sirius??

Sirius. I hear a lot of complaints about XM having too much variety on a number of their stations, playing a lot of obscure crap no one wants to hear. My ex and my roomate both have XM. If you like 80's music, Sirius blows XM away easily. Sirius is far better when it comes to sports coverage too. I'd say rock is about equal; if you are a metal head, the nod goes to Sirius, as Hard Attack is about as Metal oriented as any dedicated metal head could possibly want. As for receivors, I have a Sirius Sporster Replay. It's basically a SkyFi 2 with a better record feature.
  4. Even at 65k, you would have to be a crack head to take that over a new Z06 Vette at the same cost. And all the rumors I've heard have been it will be a V8.
  5. With the cash I'm outlaying into my Jimmy and Firebird right now (not minor stuff I'm buying), tossing money into the Moostang is not an option (that, and I can't afford any down time on it, as it's my only running car, lol). Besides, I don't want it to sound like stock, and the stock exhaust system is long gone anyways. The car isn't all THAT loud, but definately louder than stock. It's not like me starting the Formula up, which is more along the lines of waking the dead. I do sometimes park on the street. My neighborhood is pretty much crime free, and no traffic back here, so that's no issue. Guess I could start doing that again. My driveway only comfortably holds 2 cars; Jimmy on ramps (classy) being one, then the other spot, which I normally park the Moostang. Guess I could park it on the street, seeing as that is further from their house at least. Parking down the street wouldn't be real cool to the people that live there (especially since the next house further would be the neighbors that suck). How about I just win the lotto and get the hell out of neighborhoods all together? I don't belong in a neighborhood.
  6. Many of you have heard the stories about my bitch of a bad neighbor, who magically, has not called the cops on me this year (don't know how I got out of that). Well, my good neighbor on the other side of me came to the door this evening, with some concerns. This is the neighbor I get along with, talk to from time to time, dogs play together now and again, etc. Concern #1 was easy. We live in a culdasac, and I have tons of on-street parking; he has a single spot in front of his house. Well, when I'm loaded with guests, people have parked in front of his house, including my g/f for an entire weekend. Alright, no biggie. The car that was in front of there today I had no clue whose it was (still there), so easy enough, just tell people to quit parking there. Concern #2: My Moostang keeps waking his baby up every morning when I leave for work at 7am. Well, currently, that's all I have to drive. Stockish w/ catless H-pipe and Flowmasters. Normally, I start the car, put on my seatbelt, let it roll out of the driveway on its own, and take off pretty easy. My only response to the guy was I don't know what else I can do; I'll make sure to take off quietly, but WTF does he want. The car at idle/low RPM w/ light throttle really isn't all that loud. I want to avoid a problem w/ my neighbor, but at the same time, what else can I do? Let it roll into the street prior to starting it? Ugh, I'm more venting than anything. Damn neighbors; I can't wait until I have the equity in this house built up enough to get something w/ a big piece of land. I HATE dealing with neighbors.
  7. I bought the Sevendust CD last week when it came out. They are easily my favorite band, and this new CD has definately impressed me. I like Ill Nino, so I'm d/ling it right now. Thanks.
  8. I would have no problems with shooting someone trying to loot my stuff. Twice. Once in the chest to take them down, once in the head to make sure the job was done properly. Because you know they aren't going for food when they are breaking into houses.
  9. Yeah, Jeff keeps sending it. Tommy did once, then was able to clean it off his PC. I just added that link as a restricted site to my firewall.
  10. You owe this guy lunch. Why? He took her away (either purposefully or not) before something happend where it would have been a big problem (aka marriage and/or kids). This guy did you a favor....at least buy the dude a beer! Now I don't agree with Sam that this happens to everyone; I'm 26, have had a number of g/f's since HS, some long term, some not, but I can pretty much guarantee I've never, ever been cheated on. Could be luck, could be my cock, could be the personality types I go for; I dunno. But being cheated on doesn't make you a bad person; that makes the cheater a bad person. You also didn't waste 3 years. I dated my last g/f for almost 3 years, and I don't think it was a waste. I learned a lot from that relationship, and know more about what I want in a woman, and what I want for myself. You probably learned that as well.
  11. Well, that definately sucks. Did the head survive, or will it need some work too? I tore up one of the pistons on my boat like that; screwed a couple of the valves up pretty nicely in the process. Luckily, you have tons and tons of options to go with, and some really cool new stuff is just coming out too. Dart's new blocks/ 5-bolt heads have just been released, E-performance has their new 11 degree badass heads out now as well. Could always go w/ an LS7 crate motor w/ a cam swap and 250 shot; that would probably net a nice 750+ RWHP number without a ton of work and still be very streetable.
  12. There is a Vette someone is selling on another board I frequent I want bad. 99 C5 Coupe M6, P1SC putting down 465RWHP on 8psi w/ a safe, professional tune, 00 wheels, few other misc bolt-on's. Only bad side is it's in Texas, no dual climate, no HUD, base suspension....good side it's 23k OBO. Man, if it was later into winter, I'd have to consider flying out there. Sure would make a nice daily driver.
  13. The difference is cable has 1GHz of bandwidth to work with, reliably, with what is currently out there. My g/f hasn't had hers long enough to really tell when it will drop signal. She lives in the middle of nowhere, so things flying over shouldn't be a problem, just weather, but she hasn't watched it enough to have any complaints yet. And her dish does allow for multiple receivors.
  14. - Had the Formula, just had less mods on it at the time, and was slower. Now in the process of a very significant change to it. - Had my Blazer at the time, was rear ended, now have the Jimmy. - Bought the Moostang, and god willing, I'll be rid of this winter for a faster non-Moostang.
  15. Funny how my cable looks better than my girlfriend's brand new Direct TV setup. It's all about the digital compression there bud. Each Sat. company only gets a limited amount of bandwidth, and the more channels they add, the more limited that bandwidth gets. Something has to give somewhere. Since you aren't happy with your cable options there, sat. is your only other option. The new dual-tuner Tivo units Direct TV is using are pretty nice. My biggest complaints about Sat. are getting your service knocked out every time there is a storm, or digital breakup every time something flys in its direct path.
  16. If that happend to my house (of course I'd have to be married to have a father in law), that would then be refered to as my "late father in-law."
  17. Nope, sorry. It's a WRX thing it seems.
  18. You already have a Mustang you are tired of; don't get another. Classic would definately be fun. LT1 F-body would fit the price nicely too; I've seen a few that are within a several hour drive that have been some damn good steals lately (fully built motors/driveline cars going for 6k).
  19. Autozone. Of course I never returned mine; I thought the $15 deposit was low enough to just keep it.
  20. Damn, if that was Rio Red, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. But I can't justify the cost of painting it, at least not for the Moostang.
  21. LOL, you called it a sport. What's with all the videos of cars that sound like complete dog shit being posted lately?
  22. Not comparable at all. WOW is in the same boat. Sinclair charges WWWAAAYYY more than anyone else for network HD channels. This is why Warner and WOW don't carry ABC and FOX for HD programming; the price is just too high to justify, and customers aren't going to want to pay the difference, especially since CBS and NBC are much more popular networks overall.
  23. I first discovered her in Idle Hands. Awesome movie, and she's SSSSOOOOO hot even back then.
