  1. I mean, it's not a bunch of novel's of him fighting with Geeto, so yeah, you're the only one.
  2. If this is a track focused car, why put the v-springs in at all? Isn't fuel starvation under 1/2 a tank during high lat-g a known issue on FDs?
  3. Good call Joe, missed that I didn't have the boot size in there. They are 10s.
  4. All skis are mounted for a 324mm boot. They are all ready to ski, but could use a fresh coat of wax. Already have a new set of skis and boots, so these must go! Dynastar Trouble Makers in 175cm length with Look Pivot Jib bindings $125 OBO Great all around and fun ski. You can take these to the park, through the woods or on the groomers. These are what I used to take with me whenever I travel. https://goo.gl/photos/fvgz6T25cw69ge3A9 Dynastar Omecarve 10s 158cm in length w/Look Pivot 10 Demo bindings $180 OBO Demo bindings means you can set these to your boot length without needing to go into a shop and get the binding remounted. These things are like the best handling car you've ever driven in or ridden, but for the snow. A complete blast on groomed slopes. https://goo.gl/photos/AcwdxQdu22Bg3rM59 Lange WC 120 ski boots in 10.5s $180OBO A good match to the skis above, higher performance boot. I got these and before I got them fit I decided to go a different direction with my setup. These have only ever been worn to try them on when purchasing them. They never been fitted, formed or skied on. https://goo.gl/photos/kddVTbwiP1X6vbcG8 SOLD Burton Twin 44 board w/bindings, Burton work boots and an extra set of bindings. SOLD One of the ratchets on the current bindings doesn't work 100% correctly, but does latch fine. So they work, just a little bit of a pain to ratchet the strap down. That's why I got the new set of bindings. Not 100% sure they will work with this board since the board is Burtons old 3D (3 screw pattern) setup and new bindings are the square 4 bolt pattern setup. They are 'free' with the board setup for whoever wants this. https://goo.gl/photos/aKx2WJ3qTxkgQoQ66
  5. MP Tek EF50T 5.1 speaker set. $400 OBO Great speaker set that will easily fill up all but the largest rooms. EMP Tek is a 'daughter' company RBH, a well know, well renowned speaker maker based out of Canada. They are a great value for the money. I used these at our old apartment but never set them back up at our house since we decided to go with a soundbar setup. If we ever do a full setup again, I will do some nice built in speakers in the walls for ascetics or I would just keep these for using them down the road. http://www.audioholics.com/tower-spe...speaker-system http://emptek.com/ef50t.php https://goo.gl/photos/6oo9GdDhSJMCoXDK7 Onkyo TX-SR606 $40 OBO Something happened to the HDMI daughter board, it's a common problem. I attempted to replace a few caps per info I found online, but it didn't fix the issue for me. All non-HDMI related functions work 100%, stereo switching, video switching for non-HDMI sources. So this can be used as a receiver, amp, garage amp. https://goo.gl/photos/DnWQy8QNPNfJv5X77 Olympus PRO LX5s $40 OBO Great sounding little speaker, but can use a sub due to their size. https://goo.gl/photos/Pb2hJGRgKvVxxgEJ9 Speaker Stands $20 OBO Adjustable from about 24"-38". Plate the speaker sits on is 4"x4". Works great for a small speaker like a surround, I used them with the Olympus speakers https://goo.gl/photos/hr6WKvKnZyTGtuSq6 TV Stand $50 OBO Mounted on the wall above it is a 50" TV, for size comparison. https://goo.gl/photos/bqpvamD4LfQ83S4d6
  6. It's a lease car through my company and they require a $500 deductible. LOL indeed you turds. Maybe the question isn't as specific as $1088 & $500, but how much above your deductible would it have to be in order to claim it? In other words, regardless of what your deductible is, there is some threshold above that amount which the claim would have to be to claim it. You aren't going to claim a $501 claim on a $500 deductible, just like you wouldn't claim a $1001 claim on a $1000 deductible.
  7. Wife ran over a curb and damaged the rocker and got into both of the doors just a little bit. So, single car incident and no other damage to anything else. Rocker is pushed in quite a bit. Just got a quote at $1,088. Our deductible is $500. For me, if it were more like $750 I think it's a no contest, just pay for it. If it were more like $1500, just claim it. But, maybe that's just my slightly uneducated about how this might affect my insurance view point. Does it even matter, can the insurance company somehow see that I had it fixed and just jack up my rates anyways? What say you CR?
  8. So, with the CTS you fixed the harness rather than replace it?
  9. Is that just the part cost or parts+labor? The main vehicle harness, like the one that goes inside of the car, so maybe it requires ripping out a lot of the interior? I could see labor being high on a job like this, dependent on which part of the harness they want to replace. How do they know it's the harness? Internment harness can be very, very tricky to diag. My thoughts are they are going off of "We replaced these parts and based off of history, it must now be this other part." I'd hate to see the poor fool say OK and it doesn't fix the issue.
  10. Is this some kind of ironic or inside joke? Where have you all been over the last 6 or so years complaining about the obstructionist Republicans in Congress? Not having a 9th Supreme Court Justice, not to mention so many of the lower court nominees that have been held up over the past few years, is causing infinitely more harm than this little stunt.
  11. Why's that, is that when the did a full engine redesign and it finally was 'good', IMS, etc? I guess I should have clarified. It seems like the early ones, 05-06 are in my current price point and seem to have a similar level of performance as some of the other picks. I think you need an 08-12 to get DFI and that's only in the S, those are closer to $30k and probably still have a lot of deprecation left in them.
  12. :lolguy::lolguy::lolguy::lolguy: Thank you for doing exactly what I had hoped for, I had a good laugh.
  13. For the longest time I had a huge love for these types of cars; Ariel Atom, Morgan 3 wheeler. I think everyone loved to hate on the Slingshot.... I think it's a great deal for the segment as well as the feel and performance you get. I'd love to own any one of these cars at some point. For me, a car like that isn't a 2nd car, that's a 3rd or 4th car. Maybe it could be a 2nd car somewhere it doesn't rain or snow and is usually around 70 degrees. For my purposes for this car, especially in Ohio, I want/need something with an enclosed cabin.
  14. Totally forgot about that. ITT, the OP has problems with a bunch of neighbors... it must be all of them and not him. I'm giving it 6 months-1 year before he has issue with a different neighbor.
  15. Most any car I get in this segment/price point, I'm expecting to throw some money at it in the beginning to get to a good point where it's 'just' maintenance after that e.g. IMS on the 996, valve stuff on the high strung BMW I6 or S2k motor. These are 10-15 year old cars after all.
  16. Dailys/Beaters: Civics, Fit, Sunfire. More fun cars: B5 (2000) S4, Focus SVT, 92 DSM (turbo AWD). Because of condition or? Any better ideas in that price range? Not all of us can afford Lotui for our fun fleet.
  17. Yeah, checks every box, I mean, except for this part. Just a styling preference, the car must be a soft top. The E93 is also too big for what I want in a vehicle. I've done the Audi thing; though an older on than those. I had a B5 S4 for 5.5 years as my daily. I have quite a bit of seat time in a recent S4 w/the sport diff. It feels like the car has too much weight on the front, so they put more TQ to the rear and tune the sus for oversteer, so the car over steers basically everywhere but especially on power, so they control that with TCS/AYC. Their chassis tuning just feels like they don't have a very cohesive concept. Don't get me wrong, it's probably one of the if not the best car in that segment. But if that is an indicator of what their lineup feels like, no thanks.
  18. Looking for a fun sporty weekend & nice day cruiser. Doesn't need to be an ultimate performance machine, in fact I'd prefer it not to be; I'd like to be able to comfortable take this on weekend trips and not hate the drive. Price point:$15-20k. I can stretch it by waiting and saving up some more dollars. Some of these cars are obviously a hair above this price point. Search criteria is RWD (maybe a highly rear biased RWD based AWD car is OK e.g. Carrera 4), Manual, Convertible. I like smaller cars so a 2 seater or 2+2 is what I would prefer, 4 seater is fine, but it can't be a BMW 6 series sized car. Hard tops aren't convertibles, must be a soft top. What should I look into to whittle down a list of cars to go drive? Cars that have popped onto my radar. Miata: Previously at a lower price point, it was a high contender, but maybe a bit too small and too slow in a straight line for what I'm looking for. I HATE the styling on the NCs too. It's too bad NDs aren't a few years older right now; maybe still a bit slow but damn do they look good. S2000: Was at the top of my list... feels like the safe bet, but I'm leaning towards something that's not so safe. I like that they are reliable and keep their value; but they keep their value so maybe overpriced? I do love driving these cars at the limit. Sub limit, meh. I think I want more of a sporty cruiser and less of an auto-x demon. BMWs; E46 M3, 135, Z4. Any thoughts? Porsche 911 996: IMS bearing, LOL? Really leaning towards this. Porsche Boxser: Might as well get an S2000 and not deal with the cost of owning a Porsche? Maserati Spyder GT: WTF am I thinking! I think I can feel money leaving my pockets just looking at them. That Ferrari V8 tho. Most of the domestics don't tickle my loins in this price range; previous gen Mustang, Camaro or C5 Vette. Solstice/Sky, maybe they were a bargain new, but now they just seem like a smaller, lower-powered Corvette, but with a similar weight to the Corvette. Anything I'm missing or thoughts about any of these cars?
  19. I can't believe the power company said this, it's code now to have them, like SloSVTruck said. It's honestly downright irresponsible for them to suggest this. I can't imagine any licensed electrician would do this as it won't be up to code. So they are saying to do it yourself or have a handyman do it. Then when your house burns down the insurance company will say it's because you took your arc faults out the electric company will act like they would never tell you that. It might be an OK idea for trouble shooting/diagnosis. As a long term solution, I'd tell them to go pound sand and fix their supply. I haven't the faintest idea how a bad AFCI would cause issues on the incoming legs of your supply. Down stream, yes, but upstream, that would be a little strange.
  20. I'd say he has the distance about right. From his story it seems like if they do reach it, it will be while falling from an 8 foot tall fence.
