  1. Oh & Marc is prepared to pay - Space Ghost you aren't soooo bad after all - It honestly may be a very good & interesting game Monday nite --- I'm off to Pa deer camp for a few days - will watch game at a place called "the cockeyed cricket" -
  2. No they have & "continue" to treat you like shit no matter who your team is unless its the Browns. I had 20 Browns fans start on me last year, the problem for them was = * we were at Heinz Field * I told them we don't treat them that way & we sure as hell aren't going to be treated that way "in our house" * just then about 1,000 Steeler fans stood up & looked at them like = whats your next move boys???? They sat down & shut up (imagine that)! Everyone has the right to root for whoever their team is & they shouldn't be treated like crap because their favorite team isn't someone elses. You got Space Ghost that started this particular thread & he merrily has made alot of ridiculous remarks about the Steelers. MadMalibu is paying him $20 in pennies if Colts win. Think about this = * Look at Bill Cowhers record coaching the Steelers * Colts head coach Tony Dungy played under Cowher, then he later was an asst coach UNDER Cowher * Where do you think Dungy learned his basics for coaching? Yeah Space Ghost you'll probably get your $20 bucks in pennies, but I'll laugh & laugh if Cowhers surprises & overall game plan give the Colts waaay more than they were prepared for!!!!!!!! I know S. G. you hate the Steelers - Me? I've luv'd them since 1967 when they truly sucked -
  3. Yeah - Happy Thanksgiving all!!! Don't eat too much & remember to take a nice nap after the feast ---
  4. From a die hard Steeler Fan since 1967!!! I've watched Manning a lot. He's the most comfortable quarterback I've seen this year! When they line up, he looks at the defensive unit, moves his guys, watches the clock & just torches defenses. I'd like to say those Steelers will SNAP the Colts winning streak just like they did last year vs both the Patriots & Eagles, but unfortunately I don't see that happening - Steeler fans have to hope Ben can play just so we're not killed Monday nite. I'm rooting for the Steelers but as it pains me, I think we'll come up short. (Course ya never know what might happen in any given game?) --- A die hard Steeler fan forever -
  5. Piece of sh-- thread? Wow you guys are tough - I thought it was pretty funny & I'm sure the original thread was mean't to be funny ---

    The new Z06

Hey I thought you left for the military????? Anyway - yeah I've seen them = Yellow, Red, & a cool silver one. If I were "rich" I'd have ordered mine, be driving to the vette museum & take delivery there!!!!
  7. Years ago I had the permit when I lived in Pennsylvania. I got it because 3 guys followed me 15 blocks to my parked car in Pgh? As soon as I started the car, turned the lights on, they turned around & walked away. Scared shit out of me. Sooo I went thru the red tape & obtained the license. Later I thought, christ if I kill someone in self defense, by the time the courts are thru with me, I may wish I'd have just let the perpetrators kill me???? Another dilemma (as mentioned earlier) is - if you pull that firearm, you'd better be ready to use it! I thought about it & ended up never carrying. I've killed pheasants, rabbits, squirrels, & approx 30 or so deer, but to take another persons life? Wow thats a tough one. I could do it when I was in the Army because that was a whole different scenario & today I could & WOULD do it in this circumstance= some tool breaks into my home at 3:00 am. Now that person or persons I'd take right OUT, no question. But back to carrying? It's a personal decision for people & will remain a hot topic for sure ---
  8. I agree with all responses on this, only thing that bothers me is - the rear ends don't hold up with the stickies on the back. I saw that first hand at Norwalk last April, real nice yellow Z06 blew it as last yellow lite was goin out! Guess ya need to spend the $1500 or so for a rear end that can take it. Owning an 02 Z06 myself - THEY'LL DEFINATELY RUN low 12's (and into the 11's with stickies, Sam said a shot? Yeah I guess you could get into the high tens with a very good driver) -
  9. Everyone has an opinion on this topic - I (think) the original thread here was about STREET CARS, not bikes or trailer queens. My .02 cents = any street car that you could drive & was reliable (meaning you could drive it to work, on a trip, etc) cars in that category that will run the qtr in 13.50 or less / is fast / period.
  10. I'm all for the Holidays. Christmas, New Years, hell I like them all = 7/4, Labor & Memorial Days, etc etc. But I'm sooo tired of the retailers! I recognize our economy is slow & Xmas is THE retailers savior in dollars & cents. But - do they have to start now?????? It's only Nov 9 (two weeks before Thanksgiving) & already if you go into a store the Christmas decorations & sales set ups have already begun. TV & radio are already starting the ads! It turns me off, before you know it Christmas music will start too. In my humble opinion, this should not begin until AT LEAST the day after Thanksgiving -
  11. 99 Blown Yellow GT said WHAT???? = including college QBs.Bens a joke and he will never win a superbowl.Period. Teams win super bowls, no one does it individually. Bens #'s thus far are outstanding & he's done it with the help of his team! Actually there are a number of quarterbacks who have played in & won super bowls & they weren't fantastic in their position, but they were smart, used their heads & their teammates & won. Yellow Mustang Man - I'm going to save your post, Bens in his early 20's, we'll see how he fares during his NFL career --- & yes I'll remind you of your earlier comment, you can count on it -
  12. 10xworse? he's like 18 or 19 yrs old. Your original post is waaay off base!!!! I'm from Pgh & a Steeler fan since 1967 / there was NO Chuck Noll, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Greene etc. I'm happy you're so close to Fenway Park, sounds like good place for you. I once lived 4 miles from 3 Rivers Stadium. NO BANDWAGON FAN HERE - if you're going to post hitting remarks like that, try to remember not everyone on here with the wealth of knowledge you seem to think you have, is like under 20 yrs old? Now back to the NFL: * no doubt about it, Colts are for real. They truly may run the table this season. From what I saw last night, I don't know if there's a team out there that can beat them? * If Colts can stay healthy & Manning doesn't get hurt, AFC may be represented in Detroit by these Colts * Steelers should give them all they want Monday 11/28 but its the Steelers defense that would have to dominate. A shoot out between Manning & Roethisberger = Manning wins Truth -

    Buwahahaha!!!

My twin Remington's a 30.06 & 7mm mag are the best medicine for them, each rifle has taken more than their share in Pa --

    Jarhead

Jason - thx I'll get Barb, buy some popcorn for $20 & watch it!!!!
  15. 1) Seems to be a lot of discussion on a very simple matter? 2) I'm ALL FOR SOME OF THE TOOLS LEAVING, I DON'T ENJOY THEIR STUPID POSTS 3) I'm willing to pay however the admins want it, annually whatever, $20 is nothing compared to what we can get from being an active member my .02 cents -
  16. Here's a few more things about those STEELERS: * Check their history under Bill Cowher, he's coached them since the early 90's, they've dominated that division & won waaay more than their fair share of div championships * Only Super Bowl loss was in '96 when Neil the schmeil O'donnell THREW the game with 2 interceptions to Dallas. Immediately after that game, Neil left the team & Pgh! I don't know how much Neil got paid for that under the table $$$ but he ain't playin today & I'll always despise that guy. I actually talked to him (briefly) at Disneyworld in '98 & told him to his face what a tool he was!!!!Then Boomer grabbed him before he killed me & pulled him away - (True Story) * Steelers schedule this year was very tough in the beginning, they've faced New England (lost by field goal), Chargers, Cincinnati, Jacksonville (lost by field goal). For the remainder of this season they only square off with 2 teams with winning records! Cincinnati (in Pgh) & the infamous Monday niter 11/28 against the Colts. I'm bettin the black n' gold will start a positive momentum swing. They're a team to watch -
  17. Sooo many times I read Space Ghosts posts & they almost always (for whatever reason) just hit me the wrong way. I wonder why that is? Hell I don't think I've even met him? Well S G dog the Steelers as you please. My 2 cents is that I'm patiently watching every week. I don't know WHO will end up in Detroit this February, but I believe the Steelers are indeed a team to be reckoned with. Yeah they barely won last night, but if you look, you'll find ANY team has games they squeaked by. Indy & Manning are a force in the AFC to reckon with but like the rest of the NFL they too can falter on any given Sunday / it just happens. Some things you might think about? * I don't believe Indy will win out the regular season * Last year the Steelers peaked TOO EARLY, its games like last night that will wake them up *Steelers are a better team than you've given them credit for in your earlier posts. I'm sorry your fantasy D with them screwed you last night * Yes 11/28 should be a very interesting match up, I don't think it's a shoe in game for either Pgh NOR Indy * You are correct S G, Bradshaw & co from the 70's are gone As the season continues - we shall see, won't we - Born & raised in Pgh & a Steeler fan since 1967 -
  18. I lived in Buffalo for the "longest year of my life" about 28 yrs ago. I still refer to that place as the "arm pit of the world". Nice car & welcome by the way -
  19. Nooooo I didn't read about or watch the video on this car (at work) Haaaaa! Another thing regarding museum delivery. Since the cars come right across the street from the factory, the museum folks check EVERY CAR, if anythings not right ie door not aligned properly, paint ran on hood etc, museum SENDS IT RIGHT BACK, ensuring vehicle is correct before you take delivery. Unfortunately that type of service doesn't take place at ANY dealership - Just an FYI for anyone seriously thinking about buying one (New) -
  20. Just read this, that pisses me off! I frequent the one at Polaris & up north on rt 36/37. Cashiers are SUPPOSED to lay your ten or twenty on TOP of the cash drawer, give you your change, then if all is cool - they put your $$$ in the appropriate drawer. After reading this I'll never visit that one. Your Dad's probably screwed out of his $10, yeah it's not about the money, it's the principle of the situation -
  21. For me it's usually just Mich Lite, however if I'm in the mood & wish to just get blasted I'll have some shots (cold ones) of Sambuca with the Mich lite - my favorites!
  22. Since I work at a Chevy store, I also found out rather than taking delivery at a dealership, you can take delivery right at the Corvette Museum! If I had the dough - thats exactly where I'd pick-up mine -
  23. I agree with SpaceGhost, but she should be treated no differently than anyone else who gets caught driving under the influence ---
  24. Now this thread may qualify for a trophy being one of the "stupidest yet" on this forum -
  25. Be happy you don't live in Powell! Most of my neighbors hate us! Too many cars taking all the parking spots in our cul de sac, several units are too loud ie Marcs Cark etc. We worked it out though - we JUST DON'T TALK TO ONE ANOTHER, WAVE OR ANYTHING. Seriously we have tried to be good neighbors, but just could never get to common ground ----- we've had issues with dogs, actually you name it, I've probably dealt with it in one form or another. Best you can do = continue attempting to be a good neighbor, but remember you live there too. If someone can't take ya as a neighbor, no worries, they'll move -
